Description of holiday villa in Kas, Turquoise Coast

Villa Xanthos is a luxurious 3 bedroom villa located about 7 minutes from the centre of the traditional Turkish town of Kas, on the far side of the Cukurbag Peninsular.

The villa, which are set within it’s own gardens of palms, bougainvillea, jasmin, lilac, honeysuckle, lemon and olive trees, has spectacular views over the Mediterranean Sea. The Villa has it’s own private infinity pool with stunning Westerly views over the Mediterranean Sea

Frequent Dolmus’ (buses) provide cheap and easy access to the main town of Kas or, alternatively, taxis are readily available.

The villa, built to a contemporary Turkish style with stone cladding and a slate roof, is very spacious and light; finishes being predominantly white with traditional Iznik Ceramics adding a splash of colour to the interior. The villa benefits from full Air Conditioning and has 2 double bedrooms and 1 twin bedroom. In addition to this there are 2 sofa beds in the lounge so up to 10 people could be accommodated.

From the front entrance, which is located within a full height circular turret, a few steps lead down into the main living area, with the dining area adjoining this & the kitchen backing onto the dining area

Double doors lead out from the living area onto the West facing terrace and Infinity pool where you can enjoy the sunset whilst sipping a cool Gin & Tonic!

Overlooking the pool, there is the Turkish room, with dining table and chairs, which provides a cool covered outdoor dining area.

Here, in the afternoon, you can enjoy an alfresco meal away from the heat of the afternoon sun and, in the evening, you can marvel at the red glow of the sun as it sets over the sea.

From the 1st floor landing there are 3 bedrooms each with fitted wardrobes, and balconies with table and chairs. Full linen is provided as well as hand and bath towels. Further details are as below:

THE POOL TERRACE & GARDENS
From the lounge, double doors lead out onto the large pool terrace where there are stunning views to the West

The terrace has 6 sun loungers, low tables for drinks 2 Parasols and table and chairs for that early morning breakfast by the pool.

The 8 m x 5 m infinity pool, suitable for children, has steps leading down to the shallow end, 1.20 m deep sloping down to the deep end which is 1.70 m deep. There is a fresh water shower next to the pool

There is also a BBQ next to the Turkish Room

Location description

Kas has a wonderful night life with a great variety of restaurants and bars that stay open until the early hours.

There are many shops selling carpets, leather goods, "Designer" labels, clothes, Iznik ceramics etc.

Apart from swimming, activities include: paragliding, diving (some of the best in Turkey), Jeep safaris, sailing, cruising, sea and river kayaking, walking, cycling

Nearby, there is Patara Beach which has been named a World Heritage Site. Consequently, no building is allowed here and the result is a 18 Km of unspoilt sandy beach. Alternatively, there are Big and Little Pebble beaches within 10 minutes of the Villa.

If History is preferred, then the surrounding area with its abundance of Roman and Lycian ruins will prove unforgettable. The whole area is renowned for it’s Roman and Lycian ruins with Amphitheatres, Saccopheggae, Mosaics etc. all with one hour’s drive of Villa Pinara

Directions

From KALKAN, follow the D400 Coast Road. In 20 – 30 minutes you will reach the outskirts of KAS and you will see the Peninsular on the Right.

As you enter KAS the road becomes a sort of dual carriageway for a very short section. Within 100 yards or so, at the TRAFFIC LIGHTS turn RIGHT onto a block paved road. At the end of this road turn RIGHT and you are now on the Peninsular road. Follow this until you reach a small ROUNDABOUT – this is the junction of Demokrasi Caddesi & Beyhan Cenkci Caddesi – keep to the RIGHT on BEYHAN CENKCI CADDESI. Continue for about 2 miles / 3.20 Km past the sign for the ACT ONE Restaurant and past the sign for the KORSAN HOTEL.

The Villas are on the RIGHT just after a road on the right “HALIDE NUSRET ZORLUTUNA SOKAGI” and just before road “NIYAZI ACUN SOKAGI” on the right. If you reach the Tashan Hotel or the Aqua Park you have gone past the villas.
