'Serendipity' nestles quietly amid palm and mango trees 400ft up the jungly side of Mt Nevis, yet it's only a 5-minute drive from the best beach and 10 mins from the quaint 18th Century capital, Charlestown.

Our agent will meet you when you arrive, take you to the house, give you a leaflet about the island, beaches, restaurants, shops and sports, and help with any problems.

The house sleeps 4 and has 2 bedrooms, bathroom, shower room, spacious living room, fully equipped modern kitchen, study, laundry, and a wide, protected veranda beside a 30ft x 15ft pool with a glorious view across the pretty garden and 2 miles of sparkly Caribbean Sea towards the sunset and St Kitts.

There is air conditioning in both bedrooms, cable TV in the living room and main bedroom, a DVD player, broadband internet, WiFi, big ice-making fridge/freezer, large gas cooker, microwave oven, dishwasher, coffee machine, juicer and toaster.

As for Nevis itself, it still deserves its old 18th Century nickname, 'The Queen of the Caribbees'

There are many restaurants and beach bars nearby, elegant old plantation houses to visit and the quaint little 18th Century capital, Charlestown. Take a tour up mighty Mt Nevis, which towers behind 'Serendipity', or relax and relish the slow, dreamy pace of life in Nevis - a miniature paradise just 6 miles long by 6 miles wide, with a balmy climate, cool breezes, calm seas, lovely beaches, colourful forests, shady walks, horse riding, and the nicest, friendliest people you could ever hope to meet, people who wave and smile as you drive by. Each golden day is like a time-warp back to the 1950s, where people are polite and there are no flashy nightclubs, casinos or rowdy tourists, just a quiet little haven.
