(1/16)
Description of holiday villa in Guia, Algarve
Casa Palmeira is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac at the end of a tree lined cobbled lane in the sought after area of Quinta dos Alamos near to the pretty village of Guia. The village, which is a 5 minute walk, boasts many typical Portuguese restaurants serving excellent cuisine as well as cafes, small supermarkets and shops. The coast and beautiful sandy beaches are within easy reach. The popular town of Albufeira is only a short drive away. A self contained annexe is available (at an extra charge - see below) for friends, grandparents or nannies. Please contact or see website at www.casapalmeira.co.uk
Casa Palmeira has a unique difference of being able to provide 3 bedroom ground floor accommodation along with an upstairs annexe with all the facilites needed for 2 people should you require it. This is ideal if you wish to go with family or friends but wish your own private space whilst on your holiday. If however you do not wish to have the annexe it is simple to just have the downstairs for your party whilst the upstairs remains empty.

The pretty village of Guia has everything that you require for a peaceful ralaxing holiday away from the crowds with all the facilities that you will need during your stay at Casa Palmeira.
There are plenty of superb restaurants which serve up many different types of cuisine icluding the famous Chicken "Piri-piri" a slightly spiced, very tender young chicken. There are many different varieties of fresh fish on the menu which has generally only been caught that morning, hence the word "Fresh".
As well as restaurants the village has a local bakers and morning market where you can go to buy fresh produce and also two small supermarkets, a paper shop, chemist and a butchers which stock everything that you will need. When you have grown tired of shopping just stop at one of the bars or cafes for a refreshing drink.
If you should decide to venture further there are many places of interest in the local vicinity. For those of you who are interested in Marine life the "Zoo Marine" is only a five minute drive in the car. This is one of the Algarves largest attractions and has many visitors each year. The "Zoo Marine" boasts dolphins, sea lions and sharks with many other attractions on offer. It is a fantastic day out and good value for your money.
The Algarve shopping Centre is a five minute car ride and you can shop to your hearts content. Here you will find a variety of shops where you can purchase clothes, leather, jewellery, perfumes and home ware items.
Further afield you have the choice of 4 water parks, the Algarve Zoo in Lagos, Crazy Zoo near Guia and plenty of watersports and beautiful sandy beaches. Horse riding is available locally but if you veture to the Country Riding Stables at Silves you can hack out amongst some beautiful countryside. If you are an avid golfer the nearest course is a ten minute drive away at Salgados but there are many other courses in the Algarve for you to try your hand at.
For those of you that are interested in architecture take a visit to the castle at Silves and stroll around the streets.
Stop for a drink and some lunch in one of the several bars and restaurants and watch the world go by. Take a trip into the mountains and visit the Roman spar of Cades de Monchique. The views are spectacular.
There is something for eveyone in the Algarve so relax back and enjoy your holiday starting at Casa Palmeira.
