Description of holiday villa in Ecija, Andalucia

Visit the wonderful nearby sites of Moorish Spain such as Cordoba, Seville and Granada and come back to relax by the pool with a glass of wine or listen to the fountain in the pillared patio. Here is your chance to stay in a superb 18th century Andalusian mansion recently converted to retain all its historic charm, but with elegant modern facilities such as the large swimming pool, well appointed kitchen and a library with over a 1000 books, a wide collection of film DVDs and wifi internet connection.

The house itself is very spacious (the dining/living room for example is over 60 m2) and there is a wide choice of comfortable bedrooms, each individually furnished and with shared but direct access to large bathrooms. All bedrooms have air conditioning/heaters. Every room has a distinctive decoration, using some of the furniture we bought during our year-long stay in Pondicherry (south India).

The kitchen is very big and well appointed, allowing more than one cook to feed large families. It opens onto the garden as well as onto the vast dining/living room. But restaurants and tapas bars abound within walking distance, and you might end up just making breakfast!
Outside,in typical Andalusian fashion, there is a lovely patio surrounded by old stone pillars,with a marble fountain in the middle and jasmin and rose bushes: perfect for al fresco dining!

The garden is large (800sqm) and surrounded by high walls.Palm trees, mimosa, jacaranda and citrus trees,as well as fig, apricot, pomegranate,almond and olive trees, provide shade and fruit. All of them are watered by an automatic watering system. The water comes from our secured well.
The swimming pool (11m/5m, securised by alarm, illuminated) sits in the lawn, surrounded by lavander and jasmine bushes.

Location description

From England, low cost airlines such as Ryanair and Vueling have daily flights to Seville. Easyjet flies to Malaga. From Paris, Transavia and Vueling also have daily flights to Seville.
At Seville Airport, Auriga Crown hire is the best value for money for carhire.
