Description of holiday villa in Cerbere, Languedoc-Roussillon

A new 4 bedroom villa in the village of Cerbere - the last village in France before the border with Spain - with amazing sea views from just about every room in the house. Cerbere is a small, traditional, unspoilt fishing village with a small square with several bars and restaurants. The village has two diving schools and the whole coastal area is a designated Marine Reserve. In nearby Banyuls sur Mer (approx 5kms) there are numerous water sport facilities including boating, sailing, jet ski hire, etc.

The villa is ideally placed for visiting the Spanish Costa Brava resorts such as Empuriabrava, Roses, Llanca, and about two hours away Tossa or Lloret de mar. There are local markets selling produce and a wide selection of goods - with a different market available every day! Further afield the vibrant city of Barcelona is well worth a day out as is Carcassonne with its medieval walled city - this is in fact a World Heritage site.

For the more energetic there is cycling along the stunning coastal route and walking in the vineyards and mountains behind the villa or along the numerous coastal footpaths. Or just chill out on the veranda and gaze out at the activities on the sea with a glass of the locally produced rose!
