The Trulli House lies deep in the heart of Puglia, an almost undiscovered area of Southern Italy.

Apullia as it is known locally is situated on the heel of the Boot, surrounded by the sea, it gives the impression of being on an island. To the east is the Adriatic coast with many miles of sandy beaches while to the west is the Ionian sea - a huge bay running north of Sicily.

The nearest town to Trulli Casolare is Castellana Grotte - so called because of the huge caves that lie beneath it. The grotto is a local tourist attraction visited by many thousands each year.

The Trulli is 4 kms from the town in a secluded rural setting surrounded by Olive and fruit trees. The Adriatic coast is about 15 kms away, it is approximately 20 minutes drive to the nearest coastal town of Monopoli, an ancient fishing port with many seafood restaurants, and others featuring exquisite Puglian cuisine. During this drive there are breathtaking panoramic views where one can see for miles as you descend out of the hills down to the coast.
The Capital of the Trulli houses Alberobello, a Unesco Heritage site is also only a short drive away, with its hundred of Trullo's this too is an amazing sight.
Of course if you have had enough of visiting the sights or of the sandy beaches then you can spend a relaxing day at the Trulli sunning yourself by the pool.

Location description

A full set of directions is supplied once a booking has been confirmed. Where possible we try to meet our guests at their arrival airport or at an easily recognisable spot on route and then lead them to the property as it is a little difficult to find the first time around.

There are many restaurants with the speciality Puglian cuisine. The local Primitivo wine is becoming well known throughout Europe, full bodied and fruity it is the favourite wine of Germany.
