    Stone villa resides in the heart of Messinian Mani, in the suburbs of the famous village of Kardamilli and within the village of Agios Nikolaos. Our wonderful stone- built villa has been constructed with materials traditional to the aesthetics of the Mani region. The overall result provides the guest with a feeling of an upper class rural life.

    The view from the Stone Villa is amazing, unique in the entire region of Mani. In the south lies the blue sea and the picturesque harbor of St. Nicholas, with its small fishing boats tied up in ropes. In the north one can see the breathtaking view of mountain Taygetos, one of the highest mountains in Greece. The combination of both mountain and sea view makes for a fascinating landscape.

    Stone Villa is located in a privileged spot in the Mani region. Hidden in the heart of the olive grove provide both privacy and seclusion to the visitor who wants to relax away from the hustle of the popular areas of Mani.

    Stone Villa is situated only 500 metres away from one of the most beautiful beaches of Mani, the sandy beach of Pantazi, with bright gray sand, dotted with white and gray pebbles and a couple of greek traditional restaurants “tavernas”, surrounding the area. A little further away (3 km away to be exact) is Stoupa beach, with its turquoise clean waters is undoubtedly one the most popular destination of Mani region. Any list of beach destinations in Mani would be incomplete without the mention of the trendy) beach of Kalogria, a sandy swimming destination where both locals and tourists favour to swim, eat and play water sports.

    Stone Villa is approximately 190 m2 and has two master bedrooms with en suite bathrooms and a third bedroom with twin beds and a double sofa bed. There is a second sofa bed in the living room. On the ground floor of the Stone Villa is a living /dining room with large sofas surrounding the fireplace and a fully equipped kitchen. The villa has three (3) bathrooms and one (1) WC.

    The Villa has all modern amenities including air condition, flat screen TV, DVD player and wireless internet.

    Stone Villa is situated in the middle of an Olive grove in Mani and shares a large (10m x 5m) swimming pool and a barbeque area with its twin villa the “Εlea Villa”.

    Location description

    The historical area of Mani is located in the Southern part of the Peloponnese peninsula extending from Kalamata to Sparta. Mani is one of the most historical places in Greece since its famous not only for the famous ancient civilization of Sparta but also for its strength and solidarity in keeping the Greek nation alive during the Turkish occupation (1453-1821).Messinian mani is also one of the most beautiful places in Greece, combining a scent of aristocratic mansions of renaissance architecture with the ambience of the Mediterranean flair.

    The natural beauty of the area, its history, its tradition, the militancy and bravery of its people through the national adventures sets it next to areas that have become symbols such as Crete, Ipiros, Macedonia and others.

    Mani means “Mother Earth” in Greek. It was named like this since Greeks at that time wanted to keep their primal Greek customs and traditions alive and pass them on to the next generations.

    The successful Greek revolution against the Turkish occupants started in Mani and spread through out the whole Greek territory.

    The core of the messinian Mani can be considered to be the Municipality of Lefktron.

    Lefktron, a part of Mani consists of 19 villages among which the famous villages of Kardamili, Stoupa and Aghios Nikolaos.

    The capital is Kardamili a unique place of utmost beauty, a picturesque driven out from a painting.

    Ritsa, Kalamitsi, Foneas, Kaminia, Kalogria, Stoupa and Platis Ammos or Pantazi are the main beaches of the region that combine sand and crystal waters, all ideal for swimming.

    Lefktron is also famous for another reason: Its because in the beginning of the 20th century the famous writer Nikos Kazantzakis lived and worked together with Alexis Zorbas in the mines of kardamili. It is here that he got the inspiration and wrote afterwards the famous novel that we all talk about through the generations.

    Steeply rocks, caves and canyons harmonize with olive groves, picturesque beaches, small ports, little islands and tower houses . The castle of Stoupa, Kazantzakis’ mines in Prastova, the towerhouses at the old part of Kardamili and its small island, the cobbled roads, the fountains on the streets, the traditional bridges and the scattered byzantine churches around the villages, all contribute to the perfection of the region.

    Colours and scents of all kinds of wild flowers and herbs welcome the visitor at any time of the year.

    The climate of the region is warm, Mediterranean. There are green winters and a lot of sunlight that make it a touristic destination all year long.

    Other activities

    Trekking:
    Walk around the byzantine, franc and Mani castles, the cobbled streets in the traditional villages and along Taigetos’ canyons. Enjoy this “Botanic paradise” and its variety of endemic plants. Discover the byzantine churches, the stone bridges, the fountains, the water mills and the olive presses.

    Fishing:
    The shores in Lefktros are ideal for fishing and scuba diving (taking all necessary lawful measures).

    Surfing:
    The area is ideal for the funs of this sport. Nearest coasts for the sport at Githio and Kalamata.

    Directions

    From Athens:
    1. Take the Highway towards Korinthos.
    2. At Korinthos follow signs to Triopoli.
    3. At Tripoli continue towards Kalamata.
    4. At Kalamata you drive towards Areopoli.
    5. In your way you find the villages of Kampos, Stavropigio, Kardamili, Stoupa and Agios Nikolaos.
    6. As soon as you reach Agios Nikolaos you stay on the main road and you find a sign for Riglia, continue on the same road and after 150 m there is a sign towards Paralia Pantazi. Turn right at the sign and you will find the Villas at 100m.

    From Kalamata airport:
    1. Drive towards Kalamata City Centre.
    2. At Kalamata you drive towards Areopoli.
    3. In your way you find the villages of Kampos, Stavropigio, Kardamili, Stoupa and Agios Nikolaos.
    4. As soon as you reach Agios Nikolaos you stay on the main road and you find a sign for Riglia, continue on the same road and after 150 m there is a sign towards Paralia Pantazi. Turn right at the sign and you will find the Villas at 100m.
