The Brothers Grimm wrote many of their fairytales here. If you would like to avoid the steep hill into the old town, you can try the Parkhaus Oberstadt which has a lift that takes you all the way up!.BAD WILDUNGEN: A beautiful spa town which makes a nice day out. It also has a pretty old town with a castle and a series of half timbered decorated houses. The view from the castle terrace is exceptional with a lovely cafe to stop by. Well worth a visit!. FRANKENBERG
This the nearest town, with a medieval old town at the top and some excellent restaurants. KASSEL: We recommend a visit to the Brothers Grimm Museum. FRITZLAR: A small but very interesting walled medieval town with beautiful architecture in the main square.
