A New Year gift from Google

Hi all,

We've seen a noticeable increase in traffic over the last few weeks and it ties in nicely with the work we've been doing with page optimisation, correcting lags and moving to a new server. Advertisers linking back to us as a thankyou for the 12 months free holiday rental advertising have also helped greatly.

We've let the site develop naturally since we launched - we don't seek links from other sites and we'll link to sites that we like. We'd rather spend our time building content, helping advertisers to create great adverts and ensuring the site can be properly indexed.

Happily, just after the new year we noticed our Google Page Rank to the main page increased from 3 to 4. We're not sure if page rank counts for much these days, but it's still very nice to have it. We like to think of it as a certificate for doing things right, so we'll carry on doing that :0)
