It's a security thing

Hi all,
As we increase our listings we have to be ever more conscious about site security. Occasionally we ask new advertisers questions to help us verify that they are the owners of the property they are advertising and they have the right to do so.
Without going into detail (which would be detrimental to the security measures) we make certain checks to try to ensure each advert is genuine, to help protect all site users, as well as ourselves.
When signing up to the site the best way to speed up your advert approval is to use the email address displayed on your own web-site, if you have one. If you don't have a web-site then we'll ask you to verify by some other method.
In the vast majority of cases we approve adverts within 24 hours (and usually within a couple of hours), but sometimes a security check can mean a delay. An advertiser may wish to display a new build or development - they may have no web-site and very little way of proving that they really own the property - however we'll make sure we try our best to get them listed without compromising our security procedures.
