Take a chilled bubbly and settle down on the submerged bench at the eastern end of our pool to watch one of our spectacular sunsets. Browse the many shelves to find your ideal holiday read. Or just hang around the pool soaking up the sun and listen to the silence.

Las Tortugas is well equipped in every respect and particularly in the kitchen - we love to entertain and would never dream of asking our guests to put up with anything less than we need ourselves to prepare a great meal for a large group.

The privacy: only two other houses are visible, both more than 200 metres away, and yet we are only a ten minute drive from some of Spain's best beaches.

The peaceful rural situation: the noisiest thing around here are the cicadas in summer.

The views: 360degree views, notably to the Sierra Cabrera to the south and the sea at Garrucha to the east.

The space: Las Tortugas has 4 enviably large bedrooms with bathrooms, 2 sitting rooms, 2 kitchens and a separate dining room and offers the opportunity to every member of the party to find a little corner for themselves.

The pool and covered terrace: Nearly all our guests, when questioned, say that their favourite area is the covered terrace beside the pool with dining table for ten, sofas and chairs.

The comfort: large comfortable beds, 100% cotton sheets, large fluffy towels.

MAY AND JUNE SPECIAL: Buy one week at normal price (May €1000 June €1250) and get up to an extra 7 nights for just €50 per night.

Outside of peak holiday season, it is possible to book one half of Las Tortugas for groups of up to 4 people in each apartment. This makes it an ideal location for couples travelling together outside of school holidays, to discover the location where the sun really does spend the winter. Location description

The nearest major beach is Mojacar - 14 kilometres of beaches, several with blue flags.

North of Mojacar towards San Juan de Los Terreros are many smaller coves. The best of all are in the Cabo de Gata Natural Park which is just south of Mojacar: La Playa de Los Muertos is officially designated one of the best ten beaches in Spain and the waters of the Cabo are one of the Mediterranean's most important marine habitats.
