The main house is a 3/4 bedroomed beautiful stone Charentaise farmhouse with many original features. The gite is a separate detached house in the grounds of the Moulin, recently renovated to form a two bedroomed open-plan luxury gite.

The houses are secluded and set amongst fields of sunflowers and corn, with over 170m2 of living space in total, set in beautiful grounds of 5000m2 with a natural pond and a newly installed 7x3.5 floodlit swimming pool.

A booking form and full terms and conditions will be sent on request of booking, a non-refundable 25% deposit is required on booking. A further security deposit of £200 (€250) is required with the balance of payment 6 weeks before the start of the holiday, this security deposit is refundable providing no damage or breakages have occurred to the property or contents.

The houses will be cleaned and prepared before each booking and the pool cleaned, guests are expected to leave the property clean and tidy, if preferred a cleaning service can be arranged at a charge of £25 €30. Smoking is not permitted in either house.

Location description

There are many places to visit in the area apart from the main attraction of La Rochelle,these include the beautiful sandy beach resorts of Chatelaillon Plage and Fouras. The nearby market towns of Surgeres and Rochefort are just a 10/15 minute drive and the larger towns of Cognac and Saintes are just an hour and 40minutes drive respectively

The Marais Poitevin (known as "Green Venice") with its winding rivers and canals is nearby and well worth a visit it is home to an annual painting competition at Magne.

Other activities

The Charente Maritime is an excellent area for cycling and walking with plenty of marked pathways and cycle routes.
