Description of holiday house in Praia da Luz, Algarve

Journey's End is one of a crescent of fourteen townhouses which are all privately owned and individually furnished. The house is set in beautiful, mature, landscaped gardens with colourful planting and lawned areas. The magnificent weir pool being the central feature. Both the bedrooms, one double/one twin, and the bathroom are on the ground floor. The double has patio doors leading onto a south facing terrace overlooking the enclosed gardens to the swimming pool. An excellent secluded suntrap. Loungers are provided.

Upstairs, patio doors lead from the large comfortable lounge to the south facing balcony. Along with A/con a log burner is fitted, making this an ideal base for a winter stay. There is a small cloakroom/toilet and modern spacious kitchen/diner with full cooker, f-freezer, m-wave and w-machine. A balcony, which overlooks the town to the west and enjoys the evening sun, leads off the kitchen. English Sky TV, music system, PS 2, Wii, along with various games. DVD and video are provided along with CD's, DVD's, video's to amuse Adults and children. We have now fitted a child stair gate.

PLEASE NOTE: FOR YOUR AND OUR PEACE OF MIND. THE PROPERTY HAS AN ANNUAL SAFETY CHECK BY A QUALIFIED ENGINEER. ALSO FITTED ARE Co2 MONITORS, SMOKE ALARMS, FIRE EXTINGUISHERS AND FIRE BLANKET. Please make yourself aware of their positions on arrival. A comprehensive first aid kit will be on top of the fridge.

We have to mention our manager, some say he is superman, we just know him as Chris from Derbyshire, he will make a differance to your holiday if you allow him. We have total trust that he will look after you come what may.

We must not forget the RED book in the house, It is full of things you will want to know and some that you may not, but hopefully it is comprehensive. Along with Chris we have put it together, it should make your holiday happen sooner. We just need you to have a good time so you will tell all your friends and book again.

The house has a full letting licence (AJ) from the local Council. An essential document not easily obtainable. It tells you that the property is of a high standard.

Please note that we do not take a breakage deposit, we have never felt the need. However breakages happen, we just ask that you inform Chris the manager, so there is a full compliment of glasses et. for the next guests.
Discounts for late availability, long term lets and early booking are available. We also give an instant 10% discount to returning guests.

Location description

Praia da Luz is just 7 kilometres from Lagos, the main town of The Western Algarve. Lagos is a beautiful town with a marina, restaurants and bars. Praia da Luz is a much smaller town but boasts some excellent restaurants and bars. It has a long sandy beach with water sports and is ideal for children. Within a 20 minute drive you have a choice of 4 superb golf courses, Parque de Floresta, Palmares, Boavista and Penina. It is a drive of approximately 30 minutes to the west coast and the spectacular quiet beaches of this most south westerly point of Europe.

Far too many tpo mention but our favorites have to be The Jeep Safari, a days trip up into the Monchique mountains, with a very amusing guide and the Seafari dolphin boats, what a boat ride!!

Luz is an easy 60 minute drive from Faro Airport along a modern motorway.
Faro is well served by the budget airlines - Easyjet, Ryanair, Jet2, bmibaby, etc. and there are lots of car rentals at the airport.
A car is very convieniant but not essential as train, airport transfers are an easy option. Help is readily available if required. We do have a tame taxi driver who is very reliable, even when in Luz. A very good supermarket is just a 750mt walk or 900mt drive. The beach is just a 800mt walk.

Excursions to all popular places of interest are available. Just ask Chris our super manager he will help with tickets and suggestions. Many pick up locally.
