Unique Bulgarian holiday home, situated in a quiet village in central Bulgaria. Excellent transport links and a variety of shops and cafe bars in the village. More attractions in nearby Pavlikeni and Veliko Tarnovo.
The property is made up of a detached house and a barn conversion, linked by a path and set on approx 2500sqm of flat and fertile land - giving you plenty of space to relax, have fun and enjoy your holiday!
In the main house, there is a brand new fully fitted kitchen complete with oven, hob, extractor fan, fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, and a variety of kitchen appliances, utensils, crockery and cutlery enabling you to create your own home-cooked meals. There is a dining room where you can relax and entertain your guests by the large traditional open fireplace.
The bedrooms are in the main house. The master bedroom has a king size wooden bed, bedside tables and small wardrobe, along with TV and Video (with a large selection of movies). The second bedroom has a brand new double bed. There is an office with computer, scanner, printer, desk, and telephone point. There is also a wetroom consisting of a shower, sink, and toilet. The upstairs level of the house benefits from air conditioning providing both hot and cold air all year round. Each room throughout the house is fitted with an oil filled electric radiator.
The Barn has been fully converted and consists of a large living room - ideal for all of your entertaining needs! There is a large and comfortable leather and suede sofa for those relaxing evenings, along with a widescreen TV, DVD player (with large selection of movies), satellite TV, and refrigerator. The living room is complete with a traditional wood burning fire which heats the room beautifully! On the upper level, there is a brand new bathroom with a luxury corner bath, sink, and toilet. The bathroom leads out onto a balcony, offering views over the property and provides the perfect ending to your pampering session. On the lower level of the barn there is a leisure room, containing various fitness and camping equipment along with 2 mountain bikes which you are welcome to use.
The entire property is fully enclosed and is accessed via private gates at the front. Large double wooden gates open on to a large gravel car park which accommodates up to 8 cars and a small wooden gate leads onto the path to the house. The garden is spacious and contains lots of trees and shrubs and also a natural water well. Many of the trees are fruit trees such as cherry, peach, apple, plum - victoria and damson, and also walnut trees - please help yourself to this tasty organic produce!

Location description
The property is located in a quiet village in central Bulgaria. The village is easy to reach with excellent road access and a regular bus service. There is a railway station in the village with trains running to and from Sofia and Varna. There are a variety of shops/mini-markets, along with a cafe bar, post office, church, a nursery school, and a primary school. The village is situated amongst areas of natural outstanding beauty. There is a river with beautiful walks through the countryside. There are ancient Roman and Thracian ruins nearby. There are forests and lakes including the majestic Stomboliski Dam - perfect if you are keen on a spot of fishing. And the region is full of rose fields and vineyards, with many excellent wines to be tasted. The village is serviced with regular buses and also a train station.
The nearby town of Pavlikeni is a short 5-10 minute drive from the property. There are cafes, bars, restaurants, clothes shops, high street shops, and supermarkets. There are cash machines and banks, including foreign exchange. There is an internet cafe and a cinema. For some sight-seeing, there is a musuem and art gallery, and also a zoo. On Tuesday mornings, there is a large and popular market selling everything from clothing to fresh produce.
The city of Veliko Tarnovo is a 30 minute from the property. Veliko Tarnovo has a beautiful history, once being the capital of Bulgaria. There are many beautiful buildings with the Bulgarian National Revival style of architecture, churches, museums and an art gallery. The Tsaravets Castle, once the home of the Bulgarian emperors, displays an impressive light show in the evenings! There are also a variety of amenities including supermarkets, high street shops, boutique clothing shops, restaurants and bars, vets, doctors, dentists, pharmacies, a hospital, and a university. There is a theatre and cinema, nightclubs, casinos and a piano bar. There is a shopping mall housing many international shops along with a casino, cinema, restaurant, fitness gym and bowling alley.

From Sofia Airport, take a taxi to the city centre where you can get a coach to Veliko Tarnovo. The coach service is very regular and the journey takes approx 2 hours. Then take a taxi from Veliko Tarnovo to the village (approx 35km). Car hire is also available at the airport or Veliko Tarnovo.
