At only 7 miles from the historic city of Granada you will find the villaga of Otura. The village centre exudes the characteristic feel of the Andalucian pueblos: bright white houses in small streets that meander their way up the hillsides, now and then offering pleasant views of the snow capped peaks of Sierra Nevada or the surrounding fields.
Of course, Otura offers a variety of pubs and bars that continue to offer the traditional free tapa with your glass of wine or beer. We are proud to be able to offer you a comfortable holiday home for 4-6 people in the old centre.
Casa Albayzin is an authentic town house in the old centre of Otura. In spite of the thorough modernization it has undergone, the spirit of the original dwellings is still palpable. The name Casa Albayzin has been derived from the street where it lies, which has that very name and that allows you to easily imagine residing in the famous Moorish quarter in Granada.
The house has two floors. The lower floor gives access to a 300 sq. foot patio which is surrounded by walls and will therefore warrant perfect privacy. Apart from that, the lower floor offers the following:
* Spacious living room with dining table, settee for two, 2 comfortable chairs, TV / DVD, stereo equipment (MP3 CD) and balcony doors opening to the patio (of course with garden furniture and barbecue). Since we also want you to be comfortable in winter, we have installed storage heaters as well as a wood stove (free wood is supplied)
* Well sized kitchen with washing machine, microwave oven, fridge with freezer compartment, gas stove with 4 burners, extractor.
* Hall with toilet and stairs to 1st floor.
The first floor consists of:
* Open space with sofa bed. This space also makes for an excellent room where children can play.
* Bedroom with 2 single beds and open wardrobe.
* Bedroom with double bed and built in closet.
* Bathroom with shower cabin, toilet, wash bassin, bidet.

Location description
The village of Otura offers the best of both worlds: a tranquil, Andalucian centre, yet with plenty of shops, restaurants, banks etc.The beautiful moorish city of Granada is at a stone's throw, at just 12 km. You can get to the Alhambra in 15 minutes by car. At 150 m. from the house you can get on the bus to Granada, and buses run every 45 min.
For skiers, Otura is the perfect spot. You get to the resort in 40 minutes. And if you want to get to the beach, you can get there in 35 minutes.
Otura lies in the foothills of Sierra Nevada, at an altitude of 850 metres. This is the ideal base for mountain bikers and hikers. You will find trips and hikes for every possible level: from easy going to real muscle breakers and everything in between.

Diving can be done in La Herradura (50 min by car).Sky diving / courses with several schools.
Canyoning / speleology in Rio Verde (45 min.)
Plenty of language schools in Granada for those who wish to brush up their Spanish.
