    Newbridge is a small rural village,Three Gables is in the center of the village yet secluded at the end of its own private drive with plenty of room for parking. It is the perfect base for friends and families wishing to spend time together and enjoy a relaxing break at any time of the year with the micro climate of the island giving weather that is often better than elsewhere in the UK. Patio doors and large windows give a light and airy feel to the house while good insulation and central heating make Three Gables warm and cosy in the colder months and solar panels provide the hot water in the warmer months.

    There is a shop 2 minutes walk away (open March -Nov). and a pub 1 mile. There are easy drives to local towns for shopping and the many tourist attractions around the island.The county town of Newport is only 6 miles away and historic Yarmouth is 3 miles away, The nearest beach is also 3 miles.

    Bedrooms:
    Master bedroom has zip and link, can be king size or 2 single beds . Bedroom 2 with double bed. Bedroom 3 with twin beds. Bedroom 4, ( on ground floor)has a double bed. Bedroom 5 with twin beds.

    Bathrooms:
    Master bedroom en-suite with wc, hand basin and bath with shower over. Bedroom 4 en-suite with shower, wc and basin. Upstairs shower room with wc, hand basin and large shower. Downstairs family bathroom with wc, hand basin and bath with shower over.

    Kitchen:
    Large bespoke kitchen with Rangemaster electric cooker, fridge/ freezer, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, kettle, dishwasher . A large table comfortably seats 10.

    Utility Room:
    Separate utility area off kitchen with washing machine, iron and ironing board. Door to back garden for rotating airer (pegs available). Also bins for recycling.

    Living Rooms:
    Spacious lounge with ample seating for 10. TV with freeview, DVD player, CD and ipod dock, wood stove with free bag of wood autumn and winter. French doors that lead onto the decked veranda and garden to the front. Study room/ bedroom 5 has seating for 4, a double sofa bed and second TV with DVD.

    A selection of toys and games are available.including garden games. There is a BBQ( bag of charcole provided) in the garden and garden furniture is provided for outdoor living. A high chair, 2 cots a toddler bed and stair gates available on request

    Duvets & pillows on all beds, linen & towels supplied please bring your own beach towels. Property is cleaned before arrival and on departure.

    Location description

    The Isle of Wight is a stunning island boasting unspoilt scenery and a wealth of events, festivals and attractions such as Cowes week in August and in May the largest walking festival anywhere in the UK. The famous Isle of Wight festival is in June and the Bestival in September.

    At 23 miles long and 13 miles wide, the sea and spectacular heritage coastline is never too far away There is something to suit the whole family. It is a place of simple but rewarding pleasures, rock pooling, fishing for crabs, jumping off breakwaters, building sandcastles and dreaming.

    For the energetic, there are plenty of sports facilities, including golfing, sailing, windsurfing, kite surfing, paragliding and horse riding And for those who prefer relaxation and fine food in peaceful surroundings there are pubs and restaurants that range from Michelin star quality through family-friendly pubs to cafes. To simply unwind and explore there is much to discover, from historic farms & houses, castles, pretty lanes, thatched villages, coastal trails and woodlands. The Island has over 300 walks with over 500 miles of well-maintained footpaths The network of bridleways and footpaths which surround the area make this an ideal location for enjoying the countryside. We are close to Newtown nature reserve for bird watching and visitors to our garden include pheasants, woodpeckers and red squirrels along with summer and winter birds .

    Our nearest beach at Yarmouth is approx 3 miles, a 5 mile drive (approx 10mins) gets you to Brook or Compton Beaches, which are spectacular, natural, sandy beaches, with no commercialism.
    A 10+ mile drive (approx 30 mins) gets you to Ventnor, Sandown or Shanklin beaches, which have shops, cafes and other attractions.
    Whatever your ideal holiday requires, the Isle of Wight has something to suit, the best of England in miniature.

    There is a bus service every hour the bus stop is approx 15m from the end of the drive
    All the Island ferry terminals are within a 25 minute drive.The nearest ferry link is the Wightlink Lymington to Yarmouth ferry . Wightlink also operate a service between Portsmouth and Fishbourne. Red Funnel ferries operate from Southampton to Cowes. Hovertravel and FastCat operate a foot passenger service from Southsea/Portsmouth to Ryde. The use of car is recommended. Where possible at peak times it's worth booking ferries early for better prices and a wider choice of availability.

    Fantastic house for a group get-together. So many fantastic little touches that are often lacking in other holiday rentals. Great kitchen and tools, plenty of communal space, great outdoor space, comfy beds, plenty of bathroom facilities. Roma was lovely to deal with in terms of accommodating our needs. Within twenty minutes of walking in we were talking about booking the place again. Excellent holiday let.

    Came as a party of 8 everyone in the group could not praise the accommodation enough. The location is perfect and the cleanliness of the house was excellent, there was ample space for us all and everything we could possibly need to cook in the lovely kitchen Roma was extremely helpful and answered any questions very speedily.Also arranged trade discount ferry tickets for us all. Cannot praise Three Gables enough and would definitely stay there again if we were coming to the island as a large group.

    This was our second stay at Three Gables and we cannot recommend it highly enough. The house is spotlessly clean and in peaceful surroundings with lovely views. We were a party of eight ranging in age from five to over 70 and Three Gables gave us plenty of space. In contrast to some other holiday homes, there are ample bathrooms.

    We had a wonderful stay at Three Gables, Roma was an exceptional host from the start to finish, she went over and above to arrange ferry crossings, providing us with additional information and ensuring we had a comfortable stay. The house was perfect for our needs, incredibly clean, and comfortable with sumptuous bedding and beautiful views. Roma provides everything you could wish for when traveling with a baby and toddler,The older children in our group loved exploring the house and gardens and the table football and board games kept everyone amused for hours. The location was ideal for our stay, We'd love to return for a repeat visit.
