Pentre Bach House and its three smaller cottages are set in three acres of land overlooking Cardigan Bay, with dramatic Cader Idris and its fellow mountains outside the back door.

Pentre Bach (little village) is composed of four properties which can be booked separately or in any combination depending on the size of your party. For that special occasion why not book all four together?

All of our guests can enjoy truly spectacular sunsets from our outdoor seating areas or have a stroll around our walled garden and orchard. Our woodland garden provides a wonderful habitat for all kinds of birds and wildlife.

In addition to the main house of Pentre Bach, the cottages are Y Popty (The Bakehouse), Y Llaethdy (The Dairy) and Pen Y Lôn (End of the Lane). Y Popty and Y Llaethdy are quintessential farmhouse cottages built of grey flintstone with beamed sitting/dining areas, with an emphasis on cosiness and comfort. Pen Y Lôn, located at the end of the lane, is a newer addition with wheelchair access

This is the perfect self catering holiday house to enjoy a truly relaxing holiday.

Rebuilt in 1860, the main house retains all of its original features and elegance - a beautiful entrance hallway and staircase, two very large reception rooms and six large bedrooms (three of which are en-suite) and two further family bathrooms.

The views from every window are truly spectacular and the house oozes character and charm.

The main reception rooms both enjoy uninterrupted views over Cardigan Bay to the Lleyn Peninsular.

Retaining the character and charm of the house, with a large round pine table, the farmhouse kitchen is warm and cosy. You can enjoy the truly spectacular sunsets from our outside seating areas or have a stroll around our walled kitchen garden and orchard.

Our woodland garden has narrow access paths covered with chippings and the trees and bushes provide a wonderful habitat for all kinds of birds and wildlife. We have plenty of room for you to fly a kite or play family games.

Deposit/Booking Notes: Extend your stay to Sunday night + £190 + £80 + £50 + £90

•We will need a non-returnable deposit of £100 per week for the main house and £60 per week for the cottages, on booking.
•The balance is due 4 weeks before the start of the holiday.
•A charge of £5 per night is made for each bed space additional to those normally provided.
•If you bring your dog we make an additional charge of £15 per stay per dog. You are responsible for any damage caused by your pet.
•Holiday Cancellation Insurance is recommended.
•We will be happy to arrange for advanced grocery orders to be waiting for you when you arrive, on request.
•Private off-road parking is available, free, at your own risk.
If you are coming by train, we are happy to meet you at Llwyngwril station if you confirm your expected arrival time to us.

Location description

Situated just south of the coastal town of Barmouth in the village of Llwyngwril, Pentre Bach is the ideal location for a wonderful holiday whether it be action packed or relaxing with a bottle of wine.

This is a great place for spending the days inhaling lung-fulls of briny air on the beach, climbing hills and playing games in the great outdoors, followed by evenings around the supper table and in front of the fire with books and films. There's a large field for games, a willow den for the children and a table tennis room.

The nearest beach, just ten minutes' walk away, is pebbly, and there are two excellent sandy beaches within a few minutes drive in either direction.
