Countryside - Bird watching (Ornithologists are spoilt for choice being on migratory route for many species), walking, cycling (over 60km of nearby cycle tracks. one excellent one being the canal side trail linking La Tranche with Maillezais and the picturesque 'Venise Vert'), Horse riding and Go karting, Micro flying for the more adventurous.

Sightseeing and exploring - local villages, abundance of wildlife set in a large varied countryside. Find the Steam train, Talmont Castle or other local gems.
