Description of holiday house near Ixworth, East of England
Langetot is our latest luxury holiday cottage at Stowlangtoft Estate. Named after Richard de Langetot, the original landowner during the reign of William I, this unique split-level two-bedroom cottage (sleeping 4) is situated within the recently renovated and Grade II listed Stowlangtoft Hall Courtyard. The Courtyard complex is located at the heart of 850-acres of woodland, parkland and Estate grounds that make up the beautiful Stowlangtoft Estate in Suffolk.
The cottage interior is country chic, with high quality furnishings and fitting throughout. Guests may enter either from the Courtyard, or directly through the French doors that open south over the large balcony and offer views of established woodland. The spacious ground floor living arrangement comprises a wide entrance hall, with plenty of room for coats and shoes, a bright and airy kitchen/diner/living room with 12 ft ceilings, and a cosy reading area. Finally, there is a large twin bedroom and separate WC.
Take three steps down and you enter the lower level of the cottage. Here you will find a well-appointed master bedroom, complete with double bed and a family bathroom, with bath and over-bath shower.
The cottage boasts contemporary luxuries in the form of iPod Dock, DVD, Flat-screen TV, Sky Freeview and WiFi, along with a dishwasher, microwave oven and washing machine with the usual appliances in the fully fitted kitchen. The kitchen balcony leads straight onto the semi-walled mature garden, which is a great space to enjoy evening dinners and drinks.
