Kitchen/Utility Rooms
The kitchen is fully fitted with a full-size fridge freezer, hob with oven, dishwasher and washing machine. We have included a kettle, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and a wide selection of utensils. 8 sets of cutlery and crockery are supplied. The utility area is equipped with clothes airier, clothesline and pegs. An iron and ironing board is included. There is a separate W.C. on the ground floor.

Lounge/Dining areas
The dining area has a large extending table and six chairs. To relax in the lounge, there are seagrass armchairs and a 3-seater sofa bed. Entertainment includes a 20-inch TV with DVD player, Satelite TV with English freeview channels and a stereo unit with CD player and radio. A small selection of DVDs and CDs are available. There is also a ceiling fan in the lounge area.

Rear Patio/Sofa beds
The rear patio, overlooking the pool area, has a large six-seater table and comfortable chairs for outside dining. Both houses have a sprung double sofa bed in the lounge.

Terrace/Master bedrooms
The master bedroom has a double bed with plenty of storage in its fitted wardrobes and it has a ceiling fan. Patio doors lead onto a large terrace with two sun loungers. Please note beach/pool towels are not supplied. The ensuite bathroom has a shower over the bath, W.C., bidet and washbasin.

Twin bedrooms
The twin bedroom has two single beds, a ceiling fan and fitted wardrobes. There is also a shower room with washbasin and W.C. on this floor.

Terrace/Attic bedrooms
The large open plan attic bedroom has two single beds and an armoire. Patio doors lead onto a shaded terrace with a bistro table and two chairs.
Communal grounds
The townhouses have a gate leading onto the communal gardens and pool area. The swimming pool is usually open mid June to September. The paddle tennis court is open all year and is situated on the adjoining complex.

Other activities

The mosaic formed by the landscape around Cartaya offers one of the most varied, spectacular panoramas in the whole of the Huelva Province. It runs down to the Atlantic Ocean through the Ria de Rompido, which gives it’s name to the traditional fishing village tucked away in the River Piedras estuary with the beaches of Nuevo Portil and San Miguel to the east. On the other side of the Ria is the Flecha del Rompido a unique feature on the Andalucian coast forming part of a protected natural area of great ecological interest. All this is surrounded by over 12,000 hectares of pine groves, orange and strawberry plantations.

The vast woodland is very popular for activity tourism like rambling, cycling and horse riding.

Three signposted routes begin at the popular Casa de Gato on the Cartaya El Rompido road and cross the Campo Comun de Adajo in the direction of the beach at El Rompido.

On the road into Cartaya you will also find the Kartodromo de Cartaya (Carting track) Tel.959 393 822 open year round and the very popular Aquopolis (water park) which opens normally the middle of June until first week in September. Tel.959 392 660.
The sports complex (Complejo Polideportivo) in Cartaya offers football pitch, athletics stadium an indoor swimming pool (due to open 2009!!!)and a packed earth 7 a side football pitch and gym. Tel.959 393 093
The small freshwater lagoon of the Paraje Natural La Laguna de El Portil has a footpath around with three bird watching observation hides among the birds to be seen here are the black-necked grebes.

Local events

El Rocio
Famous for the annual Rocio Pilgrimage at Whitsun, it is a strange outpost of the wild west, with sandy streets lined with houses complete with broad verandahs and wooden rails for tying up horses.
Millions of people travel to El Rocio on horseback, in carriages, by tractor and on foot to pay homage to La Virgen del El Rocio, the local towns around Huelva attend and take anything up to 4 days to arrive at their destination, partying and camping en route. It is truly an amazing thing to witness, we have been lucky enough to watch local processions on several occasions.
The rest of the year it’s like a ghost town except for visitors, as it sits on the north west edge of the Parque Nacional de Donana it is a good base to explore.

Tourist attractions

Huelva
The capital of the province often over looked on the tourist trail, it still retains its maritime air.
The most visited attraction in Huelva is Muelle de las Carabelas, a wharf where you can see replicas of the Pinta, Nina and Santa Maria and from which Columbus sailed to discover the Americas. A visit to the Monastery at La Rabida is very interesting this is where Columbus planned his journey.

The monument of Christopher Columbus was donated to Huelva by the USA, every year at the beginning of August Huelva celebrates Columbus’s discovery of the Americas.
