Located on a quiet country lane beneath Helm Crag, with excellent views towards Easdale Tarn and Silver Howe, this detached double fronted Lakeland residence, offers spacious family self catering accommodation, within a peaceful picturesque setting, and only a short walk from Grasmere village.
The accommodation layout is itself unique. The main house has four spacious bedrooms, a family bathroom, a kitchen/dining room and a drawing room with children's den/study off. Directly connected to the main house is a spacious two bed roomed annexe, with its own shower room, kitchen and 2nd lounge / TV room. This superb design allows larger parties to combine the accommodation or allows some privacy as required. The two downstairs bedrooms are perfectly suited for elderly guests.
Grasmere is a charming village in the heart of the Lake District National Park, and within easy reach of Ambleside, Keswick, Hawkshead, Coniston, Bowness and Windermere. The location makes for all year round perfect holidays with some of the very best walking country right on the doorstep.
The Accommodation Comprises:
Main House: Rear entrance hall with space for walking clothes/equipment.
A drawing room with beautiful deep cushioned furnishings and views through the deep box bay window. A children's den/study with TV/DVD player leads off the lounge.
A large open plan kitchen/dining room with substantial family table, beautiful flooring and everything you could ever need in the kitchen.
There is a second kitchen and second lounge/TV lounge (with CD player) or just a perfect place to escape.
On the first floor are four further bedrooms, 1 king size, 2 doubles and 1 twin bedrooms and a bathroom with bath, WC and wash basin.
Annexe: There are two bedrooms, a double and a twin on the ground floor and a shower room with washbasin and WC. There is a kitchen and large TV lounge.
Off street car parking space is available for a maximum of 3 cars, and pets are welcome by prior arrangement. Rockwood is a no smoking establishment.

Directions
Heading north on the A591 through Ambleside, turn left through Grasmere village at the roundabout. Drive past the Red Lion Hotel, then take the left turn opposite the bookshop, towards Easdedale Tarn. After 1/3 mile, turn right down a single track lane; Rockwood is about 300 metres on the right.
