Description of holiday house near Domfront, Normandy

A delightful cottage, for up to 5 people, in a very small hamlet, cared for by a British caretaker, with booking administration by British neighbours. Surrounded by its own private garden, with a sitting out area, garden furniture and a barbecue. Inside, the massive beams give great character. The surrounding area is pretty and peaceful. You are surrounded by farms and orchards, particularly pretty when the pear and apple trees are blooming, but lovely any time of year.

The nearby village of Lore has a supermarket, and the market town of Ceauce, slightly further away, offers comprehensive shopping. Domfront, a medieval town about 10 miles away, is a delightful place to visit, and La Ferte Mace has a leisure centre and a swimming and boating lake. Le Mont St Michel and the D-Day landing beaches are within a day's visit, as is the Bayeux tapestry. It is also possible to take a trip to visit some of the Loire Chateaux, or Monet's garden. Even Paris is a possible day trip by train or car.

The property is available from Saturday to Saturday. A provisional booking will be held for 5 days A deposit of 100 GB pounds or 100 euros (non-refundable) is required to secure a booking. A second payment of 100 GB pounds or 100 euros is required 8 weeks before the holiday. These payments can be made in cash, using the Post Office 'Airsure' service. The balance payment is payable in cash to the owner on arrival at the property.
