Oyster Cove sits within earshot of the surf amongst truly spectacular scenery with an enclosed south facing garden. Surrounded mainly by fields the property looks on to the dramatic headland separating Croyde from Saunton with views from the upper terrace onto Downend Point and the Atlantic ocean.

The accommodation is spacious, attractively decorated and furnished to a pleasing standard. Approached from the side, the front entrance leads to a well apportioned sitting room and open plan fitted kitchen with black slate floor. Leather chairs and sofa, TV (Free View) / DVD and pine dining table allow the whole family to enjoy the after beach activities.

French doors lead to a decked terrace and lawn which heads up to a raised patio that embraces the natural environment, sumptuous tranquillity and views out towards Baggy Point and the ocean. Outdoor table and seating for eight means everyone can enjoy lazy evenings around the BBQ.

The kitchen offers fitted units, stainless steel stove, electric hob and oven, microwave and integrated fridge/freezer plus dishwasher and washing machine. Everything you need to keep the family happy!

The main bedroom contains a double bed, small wardrobe for clothes, tub chair and two bedside cabinets decorated in a classic style. It has a contemporary black tiled en suite shower room, WC, pedestal basin and tall heated towel rail.

The second bedroom is perfect for the kids or adults who are happy to share. Decorated in shades of blue, the room has two bunk beds and feature velux window with automatically controlled opening/closing and black out blind. Small toy box, shelves and under bed baskets for storage.

Bedroom three is stylishly decorated in light pastel violet with twin beds and a walk-in wardrobe/cupboard which houses a z-bed, high chair, stair-gate and travel cot allowing it to accommodate an additional child and infant if required.

The main bathroom has a dual bath/shower with hand held shower as well as large shower over, pedestal washbasin and separate WC.

Location description

Oyster Cove is the perfect place to be if you’re looking for a short or long break right in the middle of the sought after North Devon village of Croyde. Oyster Cove offers a quiet and secluded holiday home in an area that provides something for everyone. It’s only a short walk over the dunes to the renowned surfers beach and another short walk in the other direction to the centre of this lively village, with great pubs, restaurants and shops, offering something for all the family.

Surfing: The surf that comes into Croyde Bay is acknowledged as some of the best in Britain. The beach is patrolled from April to November by Life Guards, making the sea a safer place to swim surf or boogie board. Other excellent surf beaches include Saunton Sands, Woolacombe and Putsborough.

Climbing: Baggy Point is a favoured location with sandstone slab routes. For those who are up to it a trip to Lundy will open up some fantastic and challenging climbs.

Coastal Walks: Some fantastic coastal walks can be had around the numerous headlands between Croyde and the neighbouring beaches. Nearby Baggy Point and Morte Point are a wonderful places to watch the porpoises in summer and escape the crowds. Further afield, stunning walks can be found off Hartland Point and at the Valley of the Rocks near Lynton/Lynmouth. The wild hinterlands of Exmoor are not far either.

Golf: Golf can be played at the nearby Saunton Sands (East & West course) and the Royal North Devon at Westward Ho Golf courses – these courses are some of Britain’s oldest and attractive links courses set within the burrows.

Kite Boarding and Windsurfing: Takes place either on the in land waters off Crowe Point and Instow or on the sea at Saunton Sands.

Beach volley ball and beach football: Nets are in place all year round on Croyde beach.

Horse riding: Lessons can be taken at the nearby stables of Roylands in Croyde with many byways and bridleways offering a variety of routes in and around the village.
