It is just 2.5km from the charming village of Baignes-Sainte-Radegonde which has 2 bars/cafes, 1 restaurant, 2 pharmacies, 2 boulangeries, a small supermarket, gift shop and newsagents.

Plaisance is a 6 bedroomed luxury property suitable for up to 12 people (a cot is also available on request). It is divided over two floors. Each room has oil central heating, with the exception of 3 bedrooms which have electric heaters.

Location description

Royan
The beach at Royan is a very popular destination, especially among surfers, and is just a 50 minute drive away.
The golf course at Royan (Golf de Royan Maine Gaudin) is also a 50 minute drive. Advanced booking is required.

Angouleme
Angouleme is a 45 minute drive.
Attractions include Cams Ski Nautique for the water skiing enthusiasts, and Musee Municipal des Beaux Arts which exhibits medieval treasures, south Pacific art, African statues and local ceramics.

Jonzac
Jonzac is just a 15 minute drive where there is a large leisure complex with indoor and outdoor swimming pools, gym and solarium. Next to the swimming pool is a casino and restaurant.
The centre of Jonzac hosts a beautiful chateaux (which is open to the public). The village also has plenty of restaurants and cafes. It's worth a visit especially on market day, which is on a Wednesday.

Cognac
Cognac is a 30 minute drive. You can visit the famous Henessy and Remy Martin factories and taste the fine wine and Cognac.

Bordeaux
Bordeaux is a 50 minute drive and makes for a great day out.
Visit the world heritage sites at Bordeaux, Saint-Emilion and the Vauban fortresses. Several organised tours of Saint-Emilion are available.
