Location description
Casa Rosina is located in one of the most beautiful parts of Andalucia surrounded by mountains, lakes and national parks. Olive and assorted fruit trees cover the hillsides and a multitude of interesting places and Moorish cities, sport and recreational facilities are within easy reach. The house is set in a tranquil hamlet ideal for relaxation. Within easy reach are tennis courts, mountain biking and horse riding. There are many excellent local tapas bars, restaurants and food shopping located in the nearby villages of Alcaucin and Periana. The nearest beach is a 30 minute drive. Guests may either laze in the sun on one of the many beaches or take part in water sports, sailing, water skiing and jet skiing. There are several pretty, secluded coves near to the seaside towns such as Nerja which has retained its Spanish feel. Along the coast there are many golf courses which we can pre-book for guests. The historic cities of Granada, Cordoba and Seville are all wonderful places to visit and each can be visited on a day trip.
Local events
From April to September there are many local fiestas in the surrounding villages each celebrating their local products such as olives and peaches. They are great day out for all the family and several have ferias with fun rides for the children (and adults!) Delicious local dishes can be tried out using the produce from the nearby villages.
Tourist attractions
There is a water park in Velez Malaga and caves to be explored in Nerja. The Alhambra Palace in Granada and the Mesquita in Cordoba are two of the most popular visits made by our guests and not to be missed!
