Description of holiday house in Aberfeldy, East Central Scotland
Mains of Taymouth is located in the very heart of Scotland at the head of Loch Tay, in the magnificent Perthshire Highlands. Built in the 19th Century, The Mains of Taymouth, a 160 acre private estate, was originally the home farm for nearby Taymouth Castle. The stunning courtyard buildings have since been tastefully converted into luxury 4 and 5 star holiday cottages. During 2007, we were delighted to introduce Castle Gardens, a selection of 3 and 4 bedroom, award winning luxury mews houses and in 2008 the outstanding Bruadair holiday houses were completed, offering further 4 and 5 bedroom deluxe 5 star houses .
Mains of Taymouth can offer you a truly memorable holiday in spectacular scenery close to the Loch and River Tay in Scotland’s most prestigious area. The Estate and Golf Course is flanked on one side by the Tay Forest Park which has spectacular walks, mountain bike and horse trails and on the other by the river and loch with superb fishing for brown trout and salmon and a wide variety of water sports. Kenmore is the perfect destination to relax and enjoy the wide and varied experiences our area has to offer and is ideally located for touring the whole of Scotland.
All cottages include:
Linen and towels, L`Occitaine products, electricity, logs for the fire (if applicable), full central heating, Digital TV, CD/DVD player, cot, high chair, stairgates and are all immaculately presented and excellently equipped, Wi-fi enabled to all our Mains of Taymouth cottages, Bruadair houses and Inchadney at Castle Gardens.
