The Old Inn is a special B&B.......beautiful rooms with new comfortable beds, mostly the rooms are en-suite. Some are painted in jewel like colours all have luxurious bed linen and suptious duvets and pillows.
Breakfast is cooked by the owner, local produce, home made eggs and delicious yoghurts, local honey and homemade fruit compots are all on offer before a hearty cooked breakfast. Fabulous coffee and all kinds of teas are offered as is freshly squeezed orange juice.
Cream teas are on offer every weekend over the summer and in the summer holidays. again, homemade jam and local cream on the fresh scones.
Washing can be done for you at a small cost.
There is lots to do from here, walking, fishing, local arts, or just sit and read a book and do nothing at all..its all pretty relaxed and imed at giving you a home from home feel ......without ANY of the work!

Location description

The area around the village of Drewsteignton is of outstanding beauty, we are on top of a hill ajacent to Castle Drogo (1/2 mile from our door), there is a Lido in our local town of Chagford and you can also swim in the River Teign, a short walk from the house.
Dartmoor is on our doorstep where there is so much to see. Iron age villages, open moorland with the wild Dartmoor pony herds and magnificent "Tors".
We are equidistant from the south coast of Devon and the north coast, here you will find too many beaches for me to mention them individually!

Other activities

There is fishing a plenty here, licences can be obtained at our Post Office in the village. Riding on the Moor, The Miniature Pony Centre is 5 miles away and the lovly cities of Exeter, with its Cathedral and Totnes with its street markets are close by.

Local events

We can let you know about local events on application, there are so many. Ghost walks on the moor, Fungi hunting and many more.........

Tourist attractions

Castle Drogo is on our doorstep, The Eden Project is an hour away and we are lucky enough to have world renown sculpter Peter Randall-Page living in the village. The Mystical garden is 1 mile away, here they grow rare and wonderful Silver Birch trees.
