Description of holiday guesthouse in Bangor, North Wales / Snowdonia

The proprietors, Wendy and Ieuan Jones feel privileged to live in this idyllic setting in the Ogwen Valley of Snowdonia and welcome like-minded guests. The bed and breakfast accommodation is based in two ground-floor bedrooms in Carneddau View. Both have en suite facilities and colour TVs and are to a good 4 star standard. They are adjacent to the breakfast room and a conservatory that acts as a sitting room. Accommodation, to a similar standard, in an adjacent building can also be used for bed and breakfast. There is wireless internet access in most areas. Guests have free access to the 10 acres of parkland on the site. This contains a Caravan Club CL site ,well away from the accommodation and also about 600 yards of a 5" gauge sit-on garden railway track that meanders through cuttings, bridges and a tunnel. Guests, both young and old, are able to enjoy rides on the train when it is operational.. There is ample free parking in the grounds, adjacent to the accommodation.

Directions

From a minor staggered cross roads just South of Bethesda on the A5, turn onto the B4409 road and carry on for 3/4 mile, past two sets of corttages and a double bend. Our drive opens to the right from the next straight part of the road - through red gates.
Taxes from Bangor station or bus No 7 from the bus station to Bethesda (half hourly) and bus No 6 pases our gates 2 hourly.
