Description of holiday guesthouse in Alpandeire, Andalucia

Casa del Llanete is a reformed village guesthouse, retaining many original features. The guesthouse takes no more than 6 people at any time and is in the heart of a tranquil, unspoilt white village. The house has a roof terrace for guest use, with mountain views. There are a number of walks direct from the house and village of varying lengths and the owners can supply maps and directions for you as well as information about the area.
The village has two small grocery shops, a very good restaurant for special meals at reasonable price and a local tapas bar, all within a couple of minutes walk from the house.

The historic town of Ronda and two national parks are within a half hour drive and both the beaches of the costa del sol and the costa de la luz are accessible by car or train. For those who choose to not hire a car, transport to and from Ronda can be arranged with the owners.

We provide a fridge for guest drinks and picnics. The owners have extensive local knowledge and are happy to help you arrange other activities available in the Serrania, such as horse-riding.

For cooler months, there is heating and a wood burning stove.

Location description

Alpandeire is the birth place of Fray Leopoldo, a Capuchin monk sainted for curing children. Located in the beautiful serrania de Ronda and close to the historic city with spectacular views, shops and museums. Within a short distance of the Cueva de la Pileta with pre-historic cave paintings. Wonderful walking and bird watching is available direct from the house. The Serrania is home to Griffon Vultures and a number of eagles. Within two hours of Cadiz, Seville and the costa del Sol and Costa de la Luz.

Directions

Arrival at Malaga Airport. Follow signs to Cadiz from the Airport and then Ronda. Take Ronda ring road to Algeciras A369 and approximately 7 kilometres signs to the left for Alpandeire.
There are regular bus services from Malaga city bus terminal to Ronda
