First impressions on arrival there was a bottle of chilled wine in the fridge and freshly cut flowers on the table. On our first evening we ate dinner, beautifully prepared by Catherine, sitting on the terrace overlooking the valley, child monitor (supplied) plugged into the exterior power point, Catherine and Ian have thought of everything! Lymerac is so child friendly, with the private road perfect for those first stabilizer free bicycle rides. It is an absolute gem surrounded by beautiful countryside yet within easy reach of both Aubeterre and Villebois Lavalette. For the children there was a heated (28 degrees in May) swimming pool, heated paddling pool, two sandpits, swings, slide, wendy house, table tennis, bicycles, tricycles, badminton, tennis rackets and Polly the friendly dog. Our cottage was lovely, so roomy and comfortable, the three gites are not on top of each other with a spacious communal courtyard. For rainy days highly recommend the “Kizou Aventure” adventure playground at Angouleme, super for children ( 6 months +) Many thanks for our best family holiday ever Hayley & Simon
