Fantastic holiday
The villa was lovely and David and Rosemary were really helpful. Everything we needed was there and anything we did need we only had to text David and all was taken care of.
The pool was tendered to daily, the villa grounds are well maintained and the location is beautiful. No loud noise and very private.
Thank you for making our holiday a great one, we will be back!
Sam and Anthony.

Exactly what we were after 22-29 Jan 2011
A simple 15 minute drive inland from the airport to the village of El Salto with it's (locals) bar and (very) general store. Casa Rustica is a charming, well equipped and comfortable house. Drive through the electric gate into the patio garden area with small but inviting, heated pool, loungers, barbeques, verandah with tables and chairs. Inside, into a large living/dining room with pull out double bed, well equipped and sized kitchen, large bedroom with plenty of wardrobe storage and enormous bed then the excellent bathroom with bath and shower facility. All rooms with beautifully tiled floors throughout and neatly decorated. There is very little (see above) in El Salto, so very quiet (which we were after). El Medano is a short 10 minute drive away with beaches, very tasteful bars and restaurants, lovely boardwalk too. David met us at Casa Rustica and answered any questions we had. We would definitely consider returning and would certainly recommend it. Thank you, Martin and Louise, England.

Casa Rustica
A very nice villa, well equipped and exactly as described on the site. The bed was enormous and very comfortable. Plenty of space outside with room to park inside security gate. The pool was nice and well heated - the heat pump is very efficient.
Very useful was that the local shop (fresh bread) is within walking distance. Finally, the local restaurant (San Jose) is excellent. The food is of a very high standard. It is family owned and they don't speak much English but they are so welcoming that it does not matter. The menu is multilingual so there is no problem. We recommend San Jose very highly and we could see no point is going anywhere else. Note that it is closed on Tues, - which we found out the hard way.

Casa Rustica
We stayed at Casa Rustica from the 5th of May till the 12th of May 2010. We found the villa very comfortable with lovely views over the valley and down to the sea. Very nice pool and sunbathing area. We had a lovely time and would recommend this villa to anyone thinking of staying in a quaint Spanish village. Very relaxing place to chill out but near enough the larger resorts if that is what you like as well. A huge comfortable bed made for good nights.

Lovely Villa
We had a great time. The villa was lovely, in a peaceful area. We had a car which is essential here. Villa renter friendly and accomodating as we did have a problem finding the villa but he was very patient. Pool nice and appreciated the gas barbeque which was supplied with gas.

Could have so easily been 9/10
Firstly, our weeks stay was marked by the owners hospitalisation the entire period between Steve handing over the keys and taking them back. This probably raised some issues which wouldn't usually have arisen and hence we might have rated the property better. We hope his recovery continues apace and suspect his absence was the reason we didn't see a cleaner, change of towel nor bedding all week, altho the villa was 100% on arrival. Otherwise it had by far the best equipped 'welcome pack' ever! Fresh ham, cheese, beer, wine, cava, tea, coffee, butter, bread, OJ, oranges, bottled water [5l]and household effects inc hair dryer, fat fryer, microwave and decent cutlery, glasses and crockery way beyond any we have ever encountered altho TV's channels impossible to get except somehow managed to get the rugby. Some serious/generous thought had been put into things. Comfy bed, loads storage, good hot running water also. Thankyou. Couldn't fault it. The new design is quirky and none to attractive but we'd go again. Pool was cold as we couldn't bear the sound of the ancient heater but poolside has great views and again, is well equipped. Suspect again that things will improve as Steve gets back into his stride. Decent location. You must hire a small car. Village is small/quiet and as most of the island, friendly. Quality sights we found inc east coast heading north and western road heading high [Vilaflor great] to mountain. If it's overcast get into the car and chase the sun! Food, not much local but head to El Medano or on a sobering, twisting road, Vilaflor. Once you've learnt the simple route to/fro the autoroute getting about is easy. Hire the smallest car as roads/access/parking narrow. Driving standards surprisingly good, slow, considerate. We give the home 7/10. Clean bedding and we'd have gone to 9/10. A warm pool [or hotter weather] and 9.50/10. All above PLUS plasterboard on all internal walls and 10/10. Would best suit a couple only, maybe plus infant/junior. Must add, easy/friendly booking and check in/out. Thanks again Steve & Rosemary...... from Pete & Heather

A lovely winter sun location!
Casa Rustica is in a delightful location in a small village, but it is easy to reach other places-El Medano is only 10 minutes away and has a good selection of restaurants, bars etc. and is not over developed.
The villa is nicely furnished and had everthing we needed-we used the BBQ for evening meals, even in December ! The swimming pool is delightful.
The owner Steve, is very helpful and attentive, and stocked us up with essentials before arrival

Casa Rustica
On arrival, we were pleasantly surprised at the size of the outdoor area, perfect for sunbathing next to the pool with lots of outdoor furniture and a large BBQ! The villa was well equipped and spotless, and in a lovely quiet location with a real Spanish village atmosphere. A great holiday villa for couples looking for peace and relaxation.
