Ocean View

Just back from 10 days in this super apartment. Ocean View is such a peaceful place to relax and enjoy the view. Restaurants were very good. Every morning we did our 4 mile(there and back) walk along the coastline to Golf del Sur for brunch. Ocean View is tastefully furnished and in a lovely quiet area of Los Abrigos and such a good base for exploring. We did have a hire car for the whole period but did not use it every day. Would defintely go back. Ocean View made this holiday so special.

If you are looking for a very good and relaxing holiday, this is it. Well situated in front of the ocean in the village of Los Abrigos few minutes walk to all the amenities Ocean view is the perfect location away from the crowded holiday towns. The appartment is spacious clean and well equipped. The owners Rod and Bianca are easy to deal and to communicate with. All the restaurants are very good especially La Marea and La Scarpetta. If you rent a car, a short drive in any direction will take you to see beautiful Tenerife.

Ocean View 6

Wonderful apartment with fantastic view in small quiet fishing village. Ideal location for relaxed holiday, not for those seeking night-life.
The apartment was very well equipped and decorated to make it feel like home rather than a soulless rental.
Rod and Bianka have thought of everything.
We will be back.

Re 6 Ocean View, Los Abrigos.

My wife and I had one of our best holidays here ( 28th Sept to 12th Oct 2010). The apartment block is a relatively new build and No. 6 had been equipped quite tastefully almost entirely from Ikea. The only item we did not take to was the large glass dining table with the heavy metal chairs but only because we did not want to disturb anyone in the apartment below.
The settee was comfortable and faced the magnificent sea view which was the main reason for us coming here. But we also come for the shore-line walks which are not too taxing.
To the west you can walk for an hour over mainly paved areas interspersed with occasional pebbled areas. This walk takes you past the harbour area which has been nicely upgraded and well looked after. It is lined on one side by restaurants which we did not try as we self cater.
To the east the walk is rougher but worth doing as we were surprised to come across 2 very large beaches which appear to be inaccessible by car, although you can park quite close.
Los Abrigos is a small fishing village that has expanded into a town but has been done more carefully than more popular areas in Spain. Even so there are a few unfinished developments that slightly scar the town due, probably, to the recession.
The town is very Spanish; buildings are very close together - be prepared to be aware of more neighbourly noise than normal. Entertainment would seem to be limited to eating out or drinking in tiny local bars.

Good points.
Only 10 minutes from airport.
Fabulous sea view from apartment.
Plenty of restaurants and adequate supermarkets.
Ideal climate and no mosquitoes (We would stay out on the balcony until 10pm each evening)
Nice walks.

Final comment
A holiday in this apartment would suit a more elderly couple who are happy with nice walks and the occasional game of scrabble while gazing at the sea; or a young couple happy to make their own entertainment; or a group of golfers wishing to play in the courses nearby.
It is not suitable for young children as there are no easily accessible sandy beaches unless you are willing to drive. I would not dare bring a teenager here unless I had a car to take him or her into the better known resorts.

Beautiful apartment,with fabulous sea views in an authentic fishing village. Would certainly use again if we were to visit Tenerife. Thank you for a great base for our holiday.

Ocean View Apt 6 Los Abrigos

An excellent apartment with good blue and white water views of the ocean It is clean and well appointed with the 5 British tv stations received. There is very occasional aircraft noise when taking off to the west but it is not intrusive. A car is not necessary so long as one is familiar with the local bus service. Good secure parking and ramps for wheelchairs. For those wishing to self cater, more saucepans, pyrex dishes and bowls and cutlery would have been useful, particularly if there are four persons. In short a very good apartment for those seeking a tranquil vacation. We shall return.

Breif Report

A nicely located spacious apartment directly on the sea front and within very easy walking distance of the harbour in Los Abrigos fishing village.
Property was as described, although soft decor a little dated, nevertheless it was clean and good value for money.
Would recommend Restaurants "Los Roques," and "Los Abrigos" in the harbour.

Ocean View Apt 6

We don't really want to say too much about this apartment as then too many other people will be booking it! only 10 mins from the airport, a stroll away from a little fishing harbour ringed by good restaurants, a clear view out to the horizon, a short distance to a great beach. Apartment 6 is bright, modern, clean, airy and comfortable. We had a perfect holiday. Thanks
