Short break

Very goog apartment in central location. Great pool that can be seen easily from kitchen so kids can play safely, really good and enjoyable trip

Two points: sun beds would be nice round pool, but a 5 euro air bed does same job! No wi fi when we visited but that stopped the kids being on the net at any free moment!

Fantastic Apartment

Stayed here for a week in late october. Lovely apartment, clean on arrival. Facilities in the apartment were good, supermarket a 3 minute walk away and the beach a leisurely 5 minutes. Nice chilled out feel to the town, great for a relaxing week or two away. Breeze meant you never got too hot.

We had a nice stay, we were 3 people in the apartment. Location was clean and a nice place. The pool is nice, especialy with children. As I know EL medano very well and come here often, I find the apartment too expensive for what it is. The kitchen equipment is good for 3-4 people, but if you are more, there is not enough, and we cleaned daily but had a lot of ants all the time in the kitchen. There was arab and spanish TV, but no BBC or DVD player (as mentioned). We had to clean our towels and bed sheets (not as mentioned). There was nobody to check out, not a real problem. Wifi worked well and groovy terrace plenty of sunshine. Teerace door still broken (first comment on april 2010).
Quick and correct reservation and communication in the beginning. Greetings

APARTMENT 406

Apartment was well equiped but not easy to find taxi driver had difficulty despite directions, sign for Miramar 3 not easily seen no mention of Plata B mentioned. roof top area good but if all apartments are occupied not much privacy, many of apartmenst are not holiday apartment lets lacks a balcony.Apartment is next to lift so some noise, and is almost on flight path not a major issue be worth noting.We had problem with TV owner responded quickly and we could then operate instructions not accurate. TV has lots of channels but no BBC/ITV main channels.No car required as within walking distance of main beach area and shopping bars etc.Loacl bus also close by.Large Supermarket close by with good choice.Street market on a Saturday.El Madena very Spanish largely unspoilt ideal for quite holiday, main resorts about 40 minutes on bus away.Property just needs a little TLC with door handles loose on main door plus door to roof terrace also loose.

Hi Rosemary,

The apartment itself was very good, clean, spacious, comfortable beds and within easy access to the beach, cafes etc.

A couple of things that i wasn't so happy with was the microwave almost blew up on Day 1, blew all the fuses in the flat. The 2nd bed in the twin room had no sheets on it. On the website it says UK TV, BBC, ITV etc & free wifi none of which we could find, I asked John for wifi details but never heard back from him.

It would have been nice to have had abit more contact with John, I understand he was in Portugal for the 1st few days which was fine so a couple of texts went back & forth. I mentioned there were a couple of things I wanted to run past him & thought he might make contact when he was back from his holiday.
There was no one there at the check out, I sent a txt to John before we left and didn't hear back from him. The flat was left clean, tidy and ready for the next visitor.

The bed, microwave, TV/ WiFi weren't huge issues, but the lack of communication from our contact out there left me thinking I probably wouldn't go back with children. It's fine if you can go & be fairly self sufficient.
