    Casa Los Almendros

The interior of the property was fine but the exterior needed a good clean also the cushions in the conservatory and the sun loungers were dirty as were the tables. There was no welcome pack which would have been fine if we had been told but we arrived at 8.30 pm and there was nothing in the fridge the neighbour kindly took us to an open supermarket. As you are aware the oven did not not work for the entire time we were there. The property is very rural but only 20 minutes away form beachs nightlife ect it is more suitable for those wanting a quiet relaxed holiday. The local restaurant is excellent for those looking for typical Canarian food.

Thanks for a wonderfully relaxing holiday, lovely peaceful villa in a secluded setting away from it all. Highly recommended.

    great holiday

fantastic villa, huge, wonderful very private gardens, great pool. I couldnt fault it, great havin a bar around the corner that also does lovely food. La comilla and lorenzo are only a short drive and nice little towns with bars and resterants without being at all packed with tourists. Steve name is in the book at villa and hes great for a taxi anywhere, anytime if you want a drink whilst out and about. Autoresin were also great for hiring a car/jeep as we did. Best holiday ive had.

Casa Almendros, Spain - Canary Islands

The casa was exactly what we needed - perfect for relaxing. Easy access to shopping, beaches, and sight seeing if desired and if one has access to a car. Has a very private feel to it. Lovely garden and most every amenity you can think of. The pool is not large, but worked well to to cool one off while sunning. There is not air conditioning, but the night time temps and ceiling fans allowed for comfortable sleeping. We loved it and highly recommend it. The restaurant around the corner was excellent.

    Fantastic !

If you are looking for a place to stay outside of the of the massive Tenerife tourist places, this is where you want to be ! The house has an even better experience than you first would think from the pictures and the place makes you feel right at home. Don't expect any nightlife or prefab tourism here. You'll be part of a typical Tenerife community for the duration of your stay. Yet, if you want to be a tourist, everything is "around the corner" within a short to reasonable drive. There is a really good and non-expensive restaurant only a short walk away and all your basic grocery needs can be found in El Roque. The larger village of Valle San Lorenzo is only a 5 minute drive away. Really if you want to get off the beaten tourism paths, and yet have a fantastic vacation, go here !

    Enjoyable holiday in April 2010

This is a clean villa with everything you need for a basic stay. The pool is much smaller than the photos show, the villa was also very cold when we went (which might be a benefit in the summer but take jeans, socks and thick jumper otherwise!) but it has wifi and lovely sunbathing spots.
It is up a mountain, so cooler and windier, and going in April, we needed to drive to the delightful beach at Los Cristianos most days to get hot enough sun to sunbathe in swimming costumes. But with a car that beach is near enough. It is also walking distance to a good restaurant.

Casa Almendros - San Miguel Tenerife

We enjoyed our stay in this beautifull house in the last week of March 2010 very much.
Lots of sun on the terras with the small pool and bbq.
A lovely kitchen en rooms with Carribean art and lots of books.
    A car is recommended.

    Amazing Villa

    Dear Rosemary,
We had a thoroughly relaxing time at Casa de los Almendros.

Rudy was a most charming man and took great care to settle us in.
The villa is beautifully situated away from the hurried crowds of mass urbanisation, but still plenty places to eat and buy provisions.
The gardens are a delight, so peaceful and simply fantastic to sit amongst jasmine late at night.
We had no real problems with the villa at all, it was obvious that it is a home and that immense care had been spent on it, making it comfortable (yet with oodles of room) and a fascinating collection of artifacts from around the world.
I do prefer a washing line (or a clothes airier) to a tumble drier on holiday, as washing always smells so much better after drying in the fresh air, but that's a minor point.
It was great to be provided with loo rolls and soap for all the bathrooms.
One suggestion, maybe add a floor plan of the villa to the website: it helps visualise what one is booking.
We just wish there were more places like this to stay on holiday.
