Description of holiday gite near Saint-Jean-de-Duras, Aquitaine

Petite Chambou is a newly restored cottage attached to a large barn, which was completed in March 2007. It has one double bedroom and a double sofa bed in the living room.

The house has been carefully restored to blend original character with all modern conveniences and thus still enjoys exposed stone walls, exposed beams and tiled floors. As the property is traditionally built, it is cool in the hot summer months, giving visitors a place to relax away from the heat. In the winter the property is heated with electric heaters.

A large patio area equipped with BBQ, sun loungers and garden furniture overlooking the fields and countryside leads into the kitchen/living room.

This is a comfortably furnished living room with sofa and a 2 seater sofa bed, and includes CD player, television with English satellite, DVD player and games console.

The large spacious bathroom has bath with shower, toilet and basin and beautiful exposed stone walls. Towels are provided.

It has large double French doors leading to a small patio area to the front of the property. Furnishing includes a double bed, wardrobe, bedside cabinet and dressing table. A cot can be placed in this bedroom if required.

The dining table seats four in comfort, plus a highchair if required.

The kitchen area is fully equipped with cooker, fridge/freezer, washing machine and microwave oven.
