The accommodation comprises of an open plan ground floor with original beams and tiled floor. Two double bedrooms, with wooden floors, exposed stone walls, oak beams and a modern bathroom with stone wall and tiled floor.

The kitchen is fully equipped with oven, hob, fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster and washing machine. All kitchen utensils. The kitchen has glorious views over the Normandy Natural Park. Spacious dining area with seating for four.

The comfortable lounge has seating for four, coffee table, TV, shared Sky with owners, Video, DVD, Stereo and Play Station2. Vast library of videos, DVDs, games and CDs. Books, board games, cards and jigsaws can be found in the Gite and of course many leaflets and literature as to what you can do, in and around the area.

The first floor bedroom has a double bed and pine furniture, oak beamed ceiling and wooden floor. You will find an iron, ironing board and hair dryer in the wardrobe.

The modern spacious bathroom has a shower, toilet and wash hand basin, exposed stone walls, tiled floor and oak beams.

On the upper floor is a lovely mezzanine bedroom with double bed and pine furniture, wooden floor, stone walls and oak beams.

The Gite is completely self contained with private entrance, drive and parking. There is a patio area with garden furniture, parasol and BBQ. There is a secure childs play area with swings and slide. You will find badminton, Boules and coolbox in the Gite if you fancy a picnic.

Location description

Ten minutes from the famous Fosse Arthour, with lake, mountain climbing, horse riding and woodland walks. ten minutes from Domfront to the east and five minutes from Mortain to the west.

We are only 3km from Barenton. Here you will find a Boulangerie, Bars, Restaurant, Bank and supermarket, which unusually for France, is open on a Sunday morning, along with a small weekly market. Close by is the renown Fosse Arthour with lake, woodland walks, rock climbing and riverside Restaurant. Ten minutes to the east is the medieval town of Domfront or ten minutes to the west is Mortain with lovely White Abbaye, Petite and Grande Cascades and Petite Chapple with wonderful views across to Mont St Michel.

This area is famous for its cider and Calvados. La Maison de la Pomme can be found in Barenton where you can try a sample. The apple and pear orchards are a delight to see in the spring with colourful blossom.

For the nature lover this area is rich in flora and fauna. In summer you might catch sight of glow worms, Hummingbird Moths and Swallow butterfly. Birds of prey hover above, herons, woodpeckers, swallow and swifts find local conditions favourable and can be spotted regularly.
