The Farm House sleeps 8 people comfortably along with separate pool house accommodation which comprises an en-suite twin bedroom. There is an exclusive 12m x 6m swimming pool which is alarmed and fenced. In addition, there is a large flat garden ideally suited to ball games.

The pretty bastide of Mielan, with boulangerie, supermarket and bars is situated just 5kms away. The internationally renowned Marciac Jazz festival is only 30 mins away and the wonderful golf course at Pallane, in the grounds of a Chateau, is 15 mins drive. Activities such as walking, horseriding and biking are all available in the immediate area.

The property is perfect for families and may suit two different families holidaying together. There is plenty of space and endless activities at the property and in the area to keep children happy forever!

Location description

Predominantly rural, the area is a gastronomic delight. Farms selling foie gras, duck and pates are abundent. The earthy wines of the region, namely Madiran and Cote de Gascogne are superb and Armagnac and Floc de Gascogne hail from this area too.

The property is ideally situated to reach the Pyrenees within an hour and Biarritz on the coast within 2 hours. Its gently undulating terrain makes it perfect for biking and walking and there is also the opportunity to horseride. A leisure lake with boating, fishing and swimming can be found in Mielan, 5km away. There are plenty of good golf courses in and around the area, most with panoramic views.

The historic town of Auch, 30 mins drive, is famous for D'Artagnan and its beautiful buildings. Situated along the river, it is definitely worth a visit. Marciac, famous for the international Jazz Festival held in August is a mere 30 minutes away. Closer to home, Mirande hosts a Country and Western Festival held every July. In keeping with french tradition, a market is held each day in a different village and they are fantastic for buying local produce and soaking up the atmosphere. The summer is also a perfect time to indulge in the local 'Fetes' taken very seriously by every village.

Lourdes, famous for its Pilgrims and thermal baths is only an hours drive in the foothills of the Pyrenees.
