The economic climate is affected holiday bookings across Europe.  The UK has been affected really badly by the devaluation of the £ against the Euro for this reason self catering holidays to Turkey are receiving loads of interest.

Turkey is still outside the Eurozone and retains the YTL as their currency and the exchange rate against the £ is slightly better than last year.
It is possible to get a three course meal for under £10.

The self catering option of renting properties direct from the owners has now seen demand go through the roof.  Unlike self catering holidays booked with a tour operator holidaymakers do not incur under occupancy charges and the accommodation tends to be of a better class apartments and villas being set up by their owners as holiday / potential retirements homes and offer all the luxury of home
Look no further than this site for a good selection of whats on offer

Many cut price airlines fly into Dalaman from all major airports within the UK - Thomas Cook fly all year round and due to its mild climate in the winter Turkey is fast becoming an all year round destination Cheesy

It seems like Turkey would be a nice place to visit. I have only seen the videos but I know that Turkish people are nice and fun loving.  Smiley

Hi,
I had visited a turkey last year it is really nice place and I think Turkey might be the world’s most contested country. Its landscape is dotted with battlegrounds, ruined castles and the palaces of great empires and I want to visit there again.
