Description of holiday farmhouse near Uzes, Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur
Set in 3 hectares of lovely gardens and natural meadowland, Mas de la Bousquette is an ancient Provencal mas which looks out onto rolling countryside to the foothills of Mont Bouquet and the mountains of the Cévennes. With its tranquility and sense of timelessness the mas has been superbly and lovingly restored with every care taken to preserve its unique character. An idyllic place to stay at any time of the year.
Our charming gites are furnished with style and are equipped to the highest standards. Rental is inclusive of absolutely everything including a welcome Provencal dinner with us on your first evening.
LE GRENIER, the larger of our 2 Gites, is a spacious 2 bedroom apartment that can accommodate 4 - 6 people.
This is a place to relax and just 'be' in the wonderful warm clear Provencal climate. With just 2 gites we are never crowded and relaxation is guaranteed. Equally, the children will be happy with the heated pool and our numerous animals. Very special ancient place clustered around a magical internal courtyard garden.

Absolutely everything you need is provided and the beds are of high quality with cool Egyptian cotton sheets. Central heating for cool months.

The Provence / Gard region:
This is Gard Provencal and is the unspoiled, undiscovered Provence. The climate is wonderful all year and the countryside is utterly unspoiled and lovely. We are within easy reach of Avignon, Nimes, Montpelier, Arles, the Camargue and the beaches. All within an easy day trip. The area is full of Roman and mediaeval history. Use us as a base for those wonderful summer music festivals - Orange and Avignon just a short drive away.
Be warned one week is not enough!
Uzes / Lussan area
Lussan is a charming unspoilt Heuguenot village situated on a hilltop. Our Mas sits at its foot a few minutes walk away. We have a shop, a post office, 2 cafes and one excellent restaurant nearby.
Uzes is one of France's most beautiful towns. Mediaeval with Roman roots, it is completely unspoiled and utterly charming. It has plenty of shops and restaurants and its twice weekly market is deservedly famous.
Plenty of activities nearby include ballooning, climbing, canoeing, paragliding, riding and cycling. We have 4 bikes for our guests to use; boules and croquet in the garden.

We offer free use of bikes. This is an amazing unspoilt area which can be explored by car , bike of foot ( or a combination) Canoeing in our lovely rivers, climbing, parascending etc etc. All there for you
