Location description

The location offers walking and mountain biking trails on the doorstep, golf, canoeing, fishing and tennis closeby. We have 2 lovely leisure lakes with watersports and restaurants within 10 minute drive. We are surrounded by some stunning small towns like Brantome, St Jean De Cole, Segur Le Chataeu, Cognac and Pompadour. The cities of Perigueux, Limoges and Angouleme are all closeby and well worth a visit.
It is also possible to visit the world heritage site and vineyards of St Emilion and also the WW2 massacre site at Oradour Sur Glane offers something both moving and different.

Other activities

Canoeing at Brantome is recommended and also following the trail of Richard the Lionheart through the countryside.

There are numerous fetes and markets during the summer months locally which feature local produce and customs and often finish with a firework display.

We are situated on the D675 between Nontron and St Mathieu in the Northern Dordogne. We are close to airports of Limoges and Angouleme and Bergerac, which are all serviced by budget airlines with regular flights. Car hire available from all airports. It is possible to reach us in 7 hours from the Channel ports using the new A28 and A10. It is also possible to use the TGV to Angouleme.
