Annies Farmhouse is located on a large estate in the town of San Casciano. The farmhouse occupies its place among the lush vineyards and olive groves in the Chianti Classico region near Florence, Italy. Overlooking the garden area and the private pool (9 x 4,6m) is a pretty loggia or the terrace, which is a distinctive aspect of Tuscan architecture. Apart from offering great views, this area is perfect for relaxation with some Tuscan wine or for an enjoyable al fresco dinner. There is an `aia’ in the garden for roasting meats.

Annies Farmhouse has been thoroughly renovated recently, taking care not to disturb the original design elements.

Ground floor: This level has a spacious living area, a huge dining room and a half-bathroom, (plus a WC only). Another typical Tuscan feature, there is a large open fire place in the kitchen.

First floor: There are 5 double bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.

Location description

Just 2 km from the farmhouse is the famous San Casciano town. You can find everything here - be it bars, pizzerias, trattorias, supermarkets, banks, pharmacy, and general shopping. This town also has a sacred arts museum which has a wonderful collection of paintings, sculptures and gold from several area churches. While in exile from Florence, Machiavelli is said to have written his famous `The Prince at S.Andrea’ just minutes away from San Casciano.

This Farmhouse is a perfect place to take day trips not only around the Chianti region but also around Florence and many mediaeval towns of Tuscany. There are many fantastic wineries all around Annies Farmhouse, including the renowned `Antinori’.
One can get to see many parish churches around this area. Tourists love to spend hours marveling at the breathtaking ceramics made by the Della Robbia family. An easy drive of 15 min will take you to the Florence city. San Casciano is connected with the main freeways by the Autostrada and the dual carriageway to Siena.
