Description of holiday farmhouse in Montreuil Bellay, Pays de la Loire

18th century renovated farmhouse set in an acre of gardens, welcomes you to come and enjoy the Anjou region with is many attractions. We are situated in a small peaceful farming hamlet with beautiful views of the open countryside. The farmhouse is very spacious and fully equipped to provide all the home comforts, both bedrooms are en-suite which makes this an ideal property for families or couples and there is a third shower/toilet downstairs. Patio doors lead out from the lounge on to a large terrace area with barbecue, this is an ideal spot for relaxing in the peaceful country surroundings or enjoying outside dining, a gazeebo provides shelter from the sun. We have a 5mtr x 1.2mtr splash pool ideal for cooling down on a hot summers day, in our second garden which is enclosed and grassed, there are plenty of activities to keep our younger guests entertained including raquet sports, trampoline, table tennis, swings, and slides.

Our veggie garden offers plenty of fresh vegetables which our guests are free to enjoy and our chickens are pleased to supply daily fresh eggs.

We have an assortment of adult & children's bikes which are available for our guests to use during their stay along with a bike rack. The farmhouse is equipped with Sat TV (english) and there is a selection of DVDs, Books, games and a games console with seperate TV. WIFI is also available.

We are just 4km from the beautiful historic town of Montreuil Bellay with it's Chateau & river 'Thouet'. Montreuil Bellay is a very well serviced town with Supermarkets, Banks, Post Office, Newsagents, Hairdressers, Butchers, Bakers & Doctors. There is an outdoor swimming pool to enjoy during the summer months and various activites to be enjoyed on the river 'Thouet' including canoeing, pedaloes and fishing.

We are set on the edge of the beautiful Loire Valley, less than 15 minutes away from the vibrant town of Saumur, the old town of Thouars with beautiful views from the via-duct and the picturesque town of Doue La Fontaine which is the boasts one of the worlds biggest rose collection along with it's annual rose festival and one of Europes leading zoo's. There are several vineyards close by which will welcome you in for a tour or wine tasting. We are conveniently situated for our quests enjoy the majority of the major attractions that this part of the Loire has to offer.

Pick up and departure from either Poiters or Tours airports or Saumur train station can be arranged - prices will be submitted at time of enquiry.

During the months of May, June, July, August & Septmeber a discount of 10% is offered for all bookings of more than one weeks gite hire.

A discount is offered for occupancy of 4 persons or lesspersons in the gite during the months of MAY, JUNE & SEPT - this rate will be supplied at the time of enquiry.

Evening meals are available for the day of arrival or during your stay. Price for a three course meal, including wine, soft drinks and coffee is 15 Euros per person and 8 Euros for children less than 10 years. Evening meals can be taken with the proprieters or in the comfort of your own gite.

A non-refundable deposit of 30% is to be made at time of booking.
