Tournesol Ferme translates to Sunflower Farm, as it is surrounded by fields of sunflowers. The Farmhouse and Gite are set in 5 acres of its own meadow land providing plenty of secure open space. Both the Farmhouse & Gite have been refurbished to a high standard with exposed stonework & beams providing modern facilities with the charm of traditional Charentaise style with the Stables Gite is totally detached from the main farmhouse.

The 11 x 5 m swimming pool pool has steps for entry which are ideal for toddlers and is 1.1 m in depth at the shallow end, 2.2 m depth at the deep end. The pool is fenced with compliant security fence and childproof gate, with plenty of space for visitors to the house & gite. There is a good range of outside games available for use in the large garden including a 14 ft trampoline. Located in the shaded barn there is a full size table tennis ideal for the children or for evening adult tournaments, also available are 2 adult and 2 child bicycles.

The Farmhouse - 4 Bedrooms Sleeps 7
The view from the farmhouse looks out across unbroken fields and sitting out in the evening with a glass of wine the sunsets fill the sky. The Farmhouse ground floor has an open plan lounge area with large comfortable sofa’s satellite TV, DVD, CD, books and games, wood burning stove and large dining table seating 8. Separate study / children's play room. The well equipped new kitchen has double oven, gas hob, microwave, two fridges, freezer and dishwasher. Large bathroom with his & hers sinks, separate WC and washing machine. Two large doors open onto the garden with outdoor furniture and barbecue.

Upstairs there is 1 king size double, 1 double, 1 twin & 1 childs single, all bedrooms have plenty of built in wardrobe space, high ceilings and large windows keeping them cool in the summer months, a shower room with sink & walk in shower & separate WC. The house has a new gas central heating system.

The Stables Gite - 2 Bedroomed Sleeps 6
All on one level the former stables, decorated in rustic but modern style with terracotta tiles throughout, exposed stonework and high beamed ceilings and can sleep 6 people. The thick walls, high ceilings and shutters make it cool in the summer and wood burner and electric heaters cozy for the cooler months. The swimming pool is fenced with compliant security fence and childproof gate and is located at the top of the large garden offering plenty of space for both visitors to the Farmhouse & Gite.

The Stables Gite is located away from the main house with patio & barbeque area with plenty of secure garden space, 14 ft trampoline, outside games, 2 adult and 3 child bikes, full size table tennis table set in the shade of the barn.

The large open plan lounge kitchen area has two large sofa’s that can be converted into sofa beds, satellite TV, DVD, CD player and dining table to seating 6. Plenty of games & films to occupy both children and adults. The fully fitted well equipped kitchen has full size gas oven and 4 ring hob, dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave and washing machine.
There are two bedrooms 1 double and 1 twin bedroom, both bedrooms can accommodate a 3rd put up bed if required, both have wardrobe & chest of drawers. Cot available if required. The tiled bathroom has bath, shower, WC and sink.

The Charente Maritime region is renowned as the second sunniest after the Cote D’Azur. Local places of interest include Cognac,20 mins, home to the French cognac houses with daily guided tours, cruise the river, visit the cobbles streets with shops and restaurants. Visit Jarnac, St Jean D’Angely, Saintes with it's Roman Amphitheater and Angouleme, with it's old fortress town which stands on top of the hill. Visit the sandy beaches, an easy 1 hour drive, at Royan or Chatelaillon Plage. The cosmopolitan historical port of La Rochelle offers shops, seafood restaurants and renowned aquarium, well worth a visit or why not just totally relax by the pool making the most of the peace and quiet with a glass of wine. Futurescope at Niort is about 1.5 hrs away and well worth a day’s visit.
