Description of holiday farmhouse in Grosetto, Tuscany

The lovely estate which houses The Cafaggio Granary is in an old pine forest, typically characteristic to this part of Tuscany. There are a group of farm buildings on this estate and this farmhouse is one of them. As the name suggests, it was originally a huge granary built in 1894. It was restored in 2003 and converted into a well-appointed farmhouse to accommodate 9-11 people comfortably. The owner also lives slightly away, on the same estate. The highlights of this farmhouse are the beautiful garden and a huge, well-furnished patio with breathtaking views. You can take in the view of pine forest while you dine alfresco.

On entering the Carfaggio Granary, there is a large living area, dining area and a kitchenette in an enclosure, good enough to rustle up a quick meal on the ground floor.
Upstairs, there is another well-furnished living area with ceiling fans, a full kitchen with all equipments and a fireplace. On this level are also the bedrooms

• Two double bedrooms with private bathrooms (one with bathtub, the other with a bathtub and a shower cubicle)
• One Twin room
• One Triple room
• A third bathroom (with bathtub)
• One fun bedroom for children with bunk beds near the kitchen

The garden has a cozy family chapel. A small pathway behind the chapel leads to the pool through the pine woods. Both the garden & the pool are meticulously maintained and thoughtfully furnished with umbrellas, sun beds and deck chairs.
The nearest village is the Braccagni Village, just 2 km from the Villa. It has a bakery, butcher, grocers and a supermarket.
Grosseto is 6km from here. Siena is 1 hour; Rome and Florence are 1.5 hours away. The coast is just a 20 minute drive.
