Buttercup Cottage in Middleton by Wirksworth offers fabulous holiday accomodation with all the modern conveniences the modern traveller requires whilst sympathetically retaining many of its original cottage features.

The cottage offers one double bedroom and one twin bedded room accommodating four people with further room for a cot, available on request along with a stair gate and high chair.

The lounge offers comfortable seating with a log burning stove for a romantic evening in. A combined television and dvd player and separate CD player provides entertainment. A range of cards, games, jigsaws and DVD's are also available.

The kichen is well equipped and offers a cooker, dishwasher, washer dryer and microwave. The cottages is heated throughout with gas to radiator heating for your comfort and convenience.

The bathroom on the first floor has a separate bath and shower cubicle and a heated towel radiator.

A welcome tray is supplied for your arrival. Logs are supplied for the log burning stove. Freshly laundered bed linen and towels are supplied at no extra cost. Extra pillows and blankets are available.

Various walking books, local interest leaflets and ordnance survey maps are supplied for use during your stay to take advantage of the numerous activities available locally.

The village has a shop/postoffice which supplies a range of essential items and The Rising Sun Public House serves food.

Location description

The Derbyshire Dales are in the Heart of England. The county is within a two hour drive of many cities including Nottingham, Birmingham, Sheffield, York, Leicester, Milton Keynes and many more.

The area offers stunning rolling countryside for walking, cycling and many other outdoor activities. The area is steeped in history with its Cotton Mills and lead mining. Many of the countries finest stately homes are located in Derbyshire such as Chatsworth, Haddon, Hardwick, Kedleston and Calke.

There are many traditional market towns with great shops, restaurants and cafes. Villages offer picturesque stone cottages and traditional well dressing events.
