Description of holiday cottage in Windermere, Lake District / North West

Part of a victorian built stone guest house
The house was built in 1876 and stands in beautiful mature gardens.
The Nook is fully renovated and used to form part of the old servants quarters. The Cranny is a new build extension to the property.
We are a 10 to 15 minute walk from Lake Windermere and all the restaurants and cafes.

The Nook Sleeps 2
Renovated to a very high standard you will find The Nook provides very comfortable accommodation for holidaying couples. Ideally located just a short 5 minute stroll outside the Villages of Windermere and Bowness means we can also offer our guests peace and quiet.

A double bedroom with Kings Size ornate bed, high vaulted ceilings and Velux windows provide a light and airy room. A cot can be provided on request. Bathroom with in bath shower. Cosy lounge to nestle into in the evenings provided with a 26” flat screen TV & DVD player with library and SKY channels, WiFi also available.

Spacious ground floor open plan and fully fitted kitchen/dining area, facilities include washing machine, fridge, dishwasher and microwave, Front door leads out to your own private patio area, a sun trap in the mornings and great for al-fresco breakfasts. Sorry we can’t guarantee the Sun obliging. All bed linen and towels provided and a mid week cleaning and laundry service offered. The Nook is entirely private from the attached owner’s accommodation and has exclusive use of own car park space.

The Cranny Sleeps 2-4
Inspired by the success of the “Nook” the “Cranny” is our second self catering holiday apartment. This style of accommodation combines the best of both worlds with added convenience of facilities for light food preparation whilst guests take full advantage of our many local restaurants most of which come highly recommended and within easy walking distance.

Ideally suited for couples we have found this type of accommodation to be increasingly popular providing a very comfortable and convenient base from which to strike out and explore the rest of the Lake District.
