    Description

    Craigmore, recently refurbished, provides an extremely spacious well appointed holiday home. Ideal for one family or a holiday with three generations. Set slightly on the hill, yet minutes from the beach, shop, cafes and restaurants, it has spectacular views and privacy and parking for two cars. It has been modernised and equipped to a very high standard and offers a large (20 foot) kitchen dining room, a very comfortable sitting room, and a large airy garden room with wicker furniture leading to the patio area and garden. There are three bedrooms (1 king sized bedroom and two twins - one with extra bed/chair) and two full bathrooms and an extra shower room.

    The Porthole is an independent building in the grounds of Beacon Hill with its own private entrance and car parking. A suite with a stunning bedroom and sitting room, bathroom and small kitchenette it is ideal for those wanting a few days away from it all.

    You can look directly out to sea or along the beach towards Whitby Abbey either through the large French windows or from your own private terrace. The garden offers a further relaxation area or a special place to sip a glass of wine whilst sitting on the swing seat looking along the beach.

    The Porthole is let on a B & B basis with a delicious continental breakfast (with home-made preserves, fruit etc.) left in the kitchenette for you to help yourself at your leisure (no time keeping to adhere to - have breakfast at 11am if you wish). If our hens are laying you can enjoy fresh laid boiled eggs with your breakfast.

    Directions

    Both Craigmore and The Porthole are approached via a private lane (called The Lane) just off the A174 in Sandsend. Approaching from the Whitby end of the village, go over the first bridge and after about 40 metres there is a "Slow Concealed Entrance" sign on your left. The Lane is about another 40 metres round the bend in the main road, on your left hand side. It is a sharp 180 degree turn, and looks at first as if you are going to a garage. Follow The Lane up the hillside.
