Description of holiday cottage in Tremolat, Aquitaine

The cottage is centrally heated with two bedrooms one double and one twin. Both bedrooms have their own en suite shower room so no queuing in the mornings!

There is a fully fitted kitchen with all the mod cons such as washing machine, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and microwave. These all make the apartment a home from home. No need to even wash up, why waste the time? You're on holiday into the dishwasher it goes.

The living/dining area is complete with a television to watch English programs on. Useful if you 'have' to catch up with the must see episode! Plus a wood burning stove to keep you cosy and warm - not that its needed in summer.WIFI internet connection is also provided.

There is also a large private courtyard with garden furniture and a barbecue -in case you wish to sit outside and not be disturbed. Otherwise, the large adjoining garden has plenty of space if you have children and of course you have full access to the heated swimming pool.

All linen supplied including pool towels. If you fancy making a day of it a picnic hamper and cool bag are also available for use.

There is a boules court opposite the property and boules are supplied for you to use.

Location description

There are many places to visit in the area, medieval towns and villages,chateaux, gardens, prehistoric remains, cave paintings, markets etc.It is possible to visit many of these without driving for more than 45minutes.
It is a great area for walking and we have a large selection of suggested walks.

Other activities

There are facilities for water sports and fishing nearby and also for horse riding and bike hire.

Local events

There are weekly markets with plenty of choice of local produce and gifts. The night markets in July and August with music and food are very popular and lively and take place on various nights in the surrounding villages.

Directions

The nearest airport to Trémolat is Bergerac (about a 40 min. drive) and there are flights with Ryanair abd Flybe. Cars can be hired there fro Avis, Hertz, Europcar and Buggscarhire.
There are various ferry crossings from Calais and Portsmouth with Brittany ferries P&O Ferries, Sea France and Speed Ferries.
By train the Eurostar goes to Paris from where you can pick up onward connections.
There is also the Eurotunnel connection from England to France.
