Living rooms
There are two reception rooms, the sitting room is a large but wonderfully cosy room with double aspect windows. There is a wood burning stove for the colder months but during the summer months this is the coolest room in the house with its thick stone walls. For entertainment there is a TV with Freeview, DVD Player, Stereo and plenty of books.
The 2nd sitting room has recently been refurbished, its a lovely, bright room even on dull days due to the three windows and large french doors which open up on to the elevated deck. There is a dining table for eight as well as a large sofa, TV with Freeview and a bar/kitchen area.
Bedrooms
Master suite with sitting area, dressing area and luxury shower room. There is a super kingsize bed and if required the room is large enough to accommodate a single bed for a child. There are french doors leading onto a large private balcony overlooking the valley and woods beyond.
Bedroom 2 has a kingsize bed, a lovely feature fireplace and oak beams.
Bedroom 3 has a double bed and childs bed, beams and large armoire and is next to the family bathroom
Bedroom 4 is on the ground floor along with a shower room and can be set up as a twin or double as required. Both the bedroom and shower room are optional and can be closed off if not required.
Kitchen facilities
Large Kitchen/Diner with dishwasher, washing machine, Smeg electric cooker and gas hob, integrated fridge and freezer. Large stone feature fireplace with wood burning Rayburn for use in the cooler months. French doors lead out to the side of the house and onto the elevated deck.
External facilities
The garden wraps around the property, there is a large circular drive at the front with parking for 5 vehicles, a small courtyard area in front of the cottage with flower garden. At the rear is a large grassed area with fruit trees. The deck is 5m x 8m with built in seating and there are plenty of chairs and tables. There is a BBQ, a hammock seat in the great oak and a fire pit at the bottom of the garden.
Special features
Quatorze Cottage is a 3 bedroom property with a 1 bedroom self contained apartment, there is an interconnecting door into the cottage and when renting the Cottage you have use of the Apartments sitting room. You can choose to rent out the extra bedroom and bathroom too for £100 per week but if you dont require 4 bedrooms then we simply lock them and you pay the flat rental charge.
Alternatively you may choose to use this area as a self contained unit thereby enabling two groups or larger family parties to holiday together but not get under one anothers feet. The self contained unit is all on the ground floor level and suitable for guests who have reduced mobility.

Location description
Quatorze overlooks the 1100 hectares of the ancient forests and lakes of Meur and Avagour. The forest has mountain biking trails suitable for beginners and family groups; more challenging routes for experienced bikers; and a choice of picturesque walking trails. Of course, in addition to the paths through the forest, there are miles and miles of sheltered country roads, making it ideal walking and cycling territory. The forest is famous in the area for wild mushrooms, particularly Parasols which are delicious. There is a Visitor Centre with picnic tables, ample parking and lots of information on what to do and see in the area.Drive off in any direction from Quatorze and within a few miles you will be in on the edge of a charming town or village. Guingamp, Chatelaudren and Quintin are our local towns, the latter two being Petite Cité de Caractère (small towns of character) with typical french market days , specialist shops, supermarkets, bars and restaurants.
Other activities
Beaches, whatever the weather, some of the oldest golf courses in France, culinary delights, signature spa treatments or thalassotherapy, casinos, medieval strongholds, great local markets, friendly people and quiet roads make Brittany a real pleasure to explore.Local events

The ferry ports of St. Malo and Roscoff are only an hour away, crossings with Brittany Ferries. Remember to use your 20% discount.
