Location description

Poole is a Georgian Town that is less a seaside Town and more a Town by the sea, surrounded by Poole Harbour and Poole Bay the town has house’s built along the shore line. Access to the water is limited but it is possible to walk along some parts of the shore. Views and glimpse of the Harbour are possible as far away as 5 miles in land.

Old Town Poole retains a small portion of its Georgian Heritage centred around the beautiful church of St James, along the Quay and down the side street leading from the Quay are a large selection of restaurants,bars and pubs. Poole Quay hosts entertainment every evening from classic cars and bikes to a French Markets.

Within the Town itself Poole Park offers the only open space with access to a Boating Lake and the Harbour, Hamworthey Park and Beach is the nearest beach to Poole Town Centre and is approximately a 5 minutes drive across the Lifting Bridge, with Sandbanks a 15 minutes drive towards the open sea.

On the opposite side of Poole Harbour are the “Purbeck”, with a stunning beach of 4 miles that includes a "Naturist Beach" and a beach of shells all within a World Heritage Site and the Jurassic Coast making its way towards Weymouth

Other activities

The Area offers stunning view for those who wish to Paint, walk or indulge in Photography, with Bays such as Kimmeridge, Durdle Door, and Lulworth, not forgetting the stunning sunsets over Poole Harbour.
